This theatre is not very state of the art. The theatres are as old as any other theatre in richmond other then maybe the bird. I have no clue where Judy got her information, but i suspect it was directly from the marketing department that paid her for her review. I wonder if she has even been to richmond. But the real problem is the staff. I was going to go get popcorn and coke while my friend got the tickets. But the girl would not let me because they have two different divisions of movies and only one ticket taker. Most small theatres (like this one) would allow you to simply go and get your popcorn and take your ticket later.... but nooooo, they have to worry about crowd control on a sunday night in suburban richmond??? Anyway, i stopped going here. I prefer the west tower. Nice people, no rudeness and you can always buy your popcorn before you buy your ticket there.

Regal Cinema 14 needs to be renovated in my opinion. Ive been coming here for years with my family. The screens have been updated but the place itself needs more polish, better seats, better food, a whole redesign in my opinion. Ive never tried the IMAX though. The food is way overpriced and not good. Matinee (early bird movie reduced ticket prices) ends at 3:00, which is early. The good points its that its close by the Short Pump mall and a bunch of other things. Theres usually hardly any lines too. Also, be prepared for roughly 20 minutes of commercials before your featured movie plays, unless they changed that recently. It does look pretty at night but if it got renovated or at least an upgrade and better food plus a later matinee then it would be five stars.

The actual movie experience was amazing in the IMAX theater! However, the movie started at 12:00 PM, according to the hours provided on the Regal website and Google the theater should have opened at 11:00 AM and it did not. We arrived at 11:23 AM and there was no one in the ticket booth, the doors were locked and it was not until 20 minutes until our movie started that someone came to the ticket booth. The first movie that was due to show was Rachet & Clank at 11:25 AM, if someone were to have wanted to watch that movie they would have been out of luck . When we brought up the hours to the employee he just shrugged us off and acted nonchalant.

The sound was terrible! My family and I noticed the unusually low volume during the 20 minutes of previews. This is normally a bad sign of things to come. I notified the staff before the movie began. After 20+ minutes into the movie, I notified a staff member, again, who assured me that the sound would be corrected! It didnt happen. Sometimes the audio was so low it was nearly drowned out by the sound from the adjacent theaters! I cant wait to hear how Oz The Great and Powerful will sound in my home theater with true movie theater sound!

This theatre is old,dated, not the best sound system,nor a true Imax experience.The popcorn is subpar which is to be expected for a "Regal" owned theatre. The popcorn we were served cold ,stale & inedible.I do wish RVA metro would get with the times and have AMC or Cinemark options. It makes it better for the consumer. I lived in an area that had all 3 and Regal struggled to stay afloat even closing some locations.Our ticket taker was very nice which we appreciated.

While waiting for the movie to begin I noticed that all the speakers mounted on the walls had dust so deep on the tops it looked like hair was growing out of the top - really disgusting! Although the lobby was comfortable, the theatre (#5) was terribly warm and stuffy, which made the movie very uncomfortable, especially since it is July. The theatre is conveniently located and the employees were friendly and helpful.

Nice location if you plan a day with your kids, or go on a date, other great activities and food nearby. The theater is a nice size, but could be cleaner. The staff was very Im personable, the ticket guy didnt even smile or assist with a question , the restrooms were clean. The concessions were fully stocked, but pretty expensive just like most theaters now a days.

Always has the latest movies and are all nicely displayed. However, depending on which theater you get you will either get great or terrible seating. Most of the theater chairs lack any padding on the arm rests probably from years of use. Ive had a handful of bad movies experiences at this theater but mostly due to the people in the theater.

Nice people great screens need to figure out how you can use your regal card so that you dont have to go to box window for the specials tho should be a way to get your for discounts through the ticket machine inside too like at movieland on boulevard other than that a great movie experience with nice places to eat surrounding it

It was AWSOME!!!!! I love it!!! I have seen it 1 time but Im going to see it again! Fast and furious fans will love it ( I did and Im a fanatic) it was filled with twist and turns and had me on the edge of my seat! Only thing that would make it better is if they brought in Brian (rip Paul Walker) and Mia.

Came to see Magnificent 7. The theater is nice, but the popcorn is disgusting! Im talking stale as stale can get. For the price you would think they it would be fresh. Not coming to this theater again because I really like eating popcorn while watching my movie.

I like this place a lot because the movie posters are lit up from behind and look really good, the theater seats are clean and comfortable, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby after the movie (the ambiance is great). The only issue is lack of parking.

GETS INSANELY CROWDED. Arrive early always. You will have issues finding parking. However, the crowd is always fun and eager to cheer on opening weekends. Never had issues with food or seating. Great escape from reality for a while.

I saw the new James Bond movie at the IMAX and the sound system ruined the whole experience. Loud for the sake of being loud. The screen was not full 360 degrees like at the Science Museum, just slightly angled. Dont waste the money

A pretty decent movie theater. Food prices are about average for comparable venues, the staff though young, are friendly and helpful most of the time. The theaters are clean and seats comfortable. Overall its a nice experience.

Really great movie theater. Lines can be really long but you can buy tickets inside from the vending machine which will save you a lot of time. Park over in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot to the right of the theatre.

best regal in RVA with best location. everything is walking distance with mall and some decent restaurant. pretty much busy location but so easy to find the theater. but on weekend its hard time to find parking spots ..

The theater is nice and has new seating and electronics with IMAX. Area can be busy with traffic at times and get there early to find a parking space. Right next to Sweet Frog so you get frozen yogurt while you wait.
