I have done about 20 other rooms and have done some pretty bad ones too. This one at real escape Richmond was by far the worst set up and application of all the puzzles and rooms were terrible. Looked like a kid put this together for a homemade escape room to entertain their parents. Poorly decorated and puzzles were done very poorly. The name of this place and the rating of this place is way overrated. I felt ripped off and I didnt even pay for this game. If you want to do a real escape room do breakout, ravenchase or any other place except for this one. No cameras in room to watch your progress. Customer service was really good. Also it seems to me they are just worried about the money aspect not worried about the customer expierence. Trust me dont go here even as a last resort.

Worst experience ever when comparing it to other escape rooms in Richmond. Very cheap application and extremely unorganized. Waited 40 minutes to get in and got out in 28 minutes. All locks were not opened and all puzzles were not completed before finding the key to escape. I will NEVER return to this location and I think you should think twice as well. FYI there are 2 more in Richmond named Escape Room RVA and Enigma. (Both are worth a visit!)

Brought my office team here for team-building fun. I rented out two rooms and both groups had a blast -- one group saved the world (yes, my group!) and one blew themselves up! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clever and fun scenarios, and they seem to be adding new ones regularly. My only knock is the rooms get pretty beat up by people and may need a little more frequent refreshing. This did not take away from our enjoyment however.

Really makes you put your mind to work! As a competitive person I was truly intrigued at the time that was put into these rooms. We did the "Patient Zero" room and it was fantastic even spooked us a little bit while working through the puzzles. The staff is fantastic and truly wants to help make your experience great! They asked for our feedback afterwards which I think is always a great sign.

Doesnt even compare to the original Escape Room RVA thats on Three Chopt Rd. I did the "Patient Zero" room and it felt like being in poorly planned high school haunted house. Dirt-cheap production value with trash bag lined walls and unimaginative puzzles. It just wasnt fun. And yes, I escaped on time.

Very well thought out puzzles and entertaining service will keep me coming back to the real escape room. I hadnt known of an establishment such as this one until recently and if you dont either do yourself a favor and check out the kind folks at the real escape room

Had a good time. We were dismayed a bit that they merged our party of four with four others in anotger group but ended up with nice people and had a great time solving it in 41 minutes of 60 allowed.

Very fun! Have a couple of rooms unrelated to zombies and spiritism. Check Groupon, Living Social and other discount sites for group discounts. It worth the research.
