I did not get the chance to tour the mansion but the grounds are beautiful. The Japanese garden was my favorite, and would have never expected such an amazing site. Driving through the neighborhood I thought we were lost, but it sits at a dead end. This is a must especially if you dont mind walking and you are touring on a budget.

As a child I loved this. I would take the tour, and imagine that I lived here. They have the home laid out with furniture, as if the Dooleys (spelling?) still lived here. That, coupled with the gorgeous landscape, make for an amazing afternoon.

So much to do here! We visited the zoo and farm animals and saw the beautiful mansion. We were there about 2 and a half hours, and we didnt see everything. My one year old even loved it! A must see if you are in Richmond.

Its absolutely gorgeous! The mansion, the farm, and the animal farm. Had a really nice time. My only complaint Is that they have no food or drinks, other than wickedly overpriced vending machines. Bring you own!

The beautiful Richmond area home of James and Sally Dooley. A magnificent home that is far more cozy than ostentatious. The Maymont Mansion, the Nature Center, and the Japanese Gardens are all wonderful.

Love the Swan room. Its a great tour rich with Richmond history. A must see if visiting Richmond.
