Was there on Sept. 6 of this year and enjoyed the range of wines during the tasting for my friends birthday. The tasting was heavy on smoky, oak reds. The standouts were the cabernet franc and the snort. The establishment itself was also very accommodating for our birthday group and a lovely spot. There are outside tables for picnicking, a lounge inside where you can bring your own food to complement your wine, and plenty of paths for a nice walk. My only complaint was about "Steve," who led us through the wine tasting. My group was made up of six ladies and Steve was incessant with the patronizing comments - how he was sure wed never had to pay for a drink in our lives before this, calling us all sweetheart/darling, and exclaiming how much he was sure wed love the chocolate that accompanied the snort as his little granddaughters loved chocolate. There was more of this nonsense than there was the describing of the wines, pairings, etc, and I kept having to refer to the menu for actual information.

This is a really nice place, wide open and spacious with a good variety of wines. If youre not sure which one youll like you can take a white flight or a red flight (theres also an extra list for members only, if thats your thing), then you can take a bottle to either drink in the grounds or take away. Its the kind of place where its easy to just sit back and relax, work through a couple of glasses, and know youll be quite happy to sit there a while and not have to drive any time soon. You may be allowed a "teaser taster" of a single members-only wine. I took them up on that and it was amazing. Its just a shame my states licensing laws dont allow them to ship or Id probably have signed up right here and then. The staff are helpful and friendly. Theres really a lot to like about this place.

This winery was not my favorite but not my least favorite either. Their tasting menu has a whopping 13 wines (plus another bonus blend that they and other local wineries did for the anniversary of the civil war battles in Manassas). The wine was all right. I think it was varied enough that everyone could find one they enjoy. Apart from the bonus wine (which was awesome) their reserve Cabernet Franc was amazing! If it hadnt been so crowded with families when we were there we wouldve had more fun. It didnt seem as if the parents of these kids cared and the staff didnt step in and say anything to the parents either (although they have signs everywhere saying that children should not be left unattended).

Ok, I should have written a review before but I didnt. I have been to this Winery and its sister Winery, Pearmund Cellars several times. I have never had a bad experience so far. The staff is cheerful, helpful and loves to tell us more about the wines. The Winery is located in a beautiful surrounding and theres enough seating outside to enjoy the scenery and enjoy a glass of wine. Theres a good variety of wine and the grapes comes from many different grape growers in the region. I have tastes some really good Cabernet Franc, viognier, Meritage...to name a few. Definitely recommend as a place to visit and you wont be disappointed!

Love this winery!!! Drove an hour and a half from MD to get there...an hour before closing. My friend Lisa and I basically had the tasting room to ourselves. The two Chriss were awesome!! Best wines in Virginia so far, hands down! My fave is the Tannat. We loved the wines so much, we joined the club. So this month we get to try an exclusive bottle with red zin grapes shipped from Cali....yummmmm, my ultimate fave!!! We plan on going back in a couple of weeks to pick up our club half case, free tastings, and sit out back by the fire pit. Can life get any better??!?

First wine tasting experience and The Winery at La Grange delivered in every way imaginable! $10 for a tasting of white and red wines was a treat and helped narrow down the decision for a bottle to split and enjoy the rest of the visit. The property is beautiful and theres plenty of seating to park yourself and enjoy the views and weather. Theres even free wi-fi for those who always need to be connected!

My group showed up to La Grange in the late afternoon after a full day of tasting. We were greeted warmly by Lisa and shown promptly to a tasting tent (and restrooms). The wines were the best we had tried all day, the property is gorgeous, and the people are friendly. OH, and that Sangria is amazing! I have been here twice now and definitely plan to return. Keep up the good work, La Grange!

This past weekend, several girls and I went to 3 different wineries in Northern Va. Of the three, this was our favorite. The staff was warm, friendly, and approachable. The grounds were lovely and comfortable. And the wine was very very good. The sangria was also pretty great, but definitely very sweet. For wine taste, ambiance, and overall enjoyment, I definitely recommend this winery.

I wasnt overly impressed with the service or the wine. We felt rushed through the tasting even though it wasnt very busy. Also, for the tasting fee you only get to taste roughly 5 wines which is much fewer than many other wineries in the area. For the ambiance and better wines Id recommend the Winery at Bull Run, which offers much more to taste for a better price.

After first stopping by Quattro Goombas where we were hostilely treated by a very rude staff, we found a professional, knowledgable, and friendly staff at La Grange. The wine was very good, the grounds are emmaculately groomed. Breathtaking views can be found looking out over the vineyards. We would highly recommend this winery. Very classy.

Spent an enjoyable afternoon here from out of town. Although they were busy it did not feel crowded, and the service was friendly and attentive. Heather did our wine tasting and she was wonderful and knowledgeable. We bought 4 bottles to take home, and will definitely stop by again when we next visit the area.

At LA Grange, there are events every weekend. Yes, every weekend. The staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming, with a sense of history. The main house is old, but restored, and has old school charm everywhere. Its very easy to get to, being just off of 66 West.

One of the best places to have a picnic, taste wine and just enjoy the beautiful hills surrounding the winery. Many picnic tables available, inside seating in the basement, upstairs, front patio and back porch. Wine is great and well worth taking some home.

The staff was so welcoming and they really set the tone for our experience. Our group of 6 had a great time and really enjoyed every wine in the sampling. I would highly reccomend this winery!

Wow! The tasting room is an old two story house that is so comfortable. The upstairs parlor rooms make you want to stay and sip wine all day.
