Went here to have some fun with friends for my birthday. Its a real worn down rip off artist kind of place that is obviously done as inexpensively as possible. The arcade games are ancient and some of them are just really terrible. Seems like the owner just picked up a bunch of the cheapest games he could find. There are maybe 10 actual arcade games in the Arcade. They have skeeball, which was fun. And my friends enjoyed. But they also have about 20 of those games that are there to just guzzle tokens and return little or no tickets. Coin Dozers and other scam "games" shouldnt make up more than half the games in an arcade. The minigolf courses are really pretty pathetic. We had fun, but not because the course was enjoyable. We just laughed like crazy at how pathetic and terrible the thing was. The putting greens were threadbare in many places. There were almost no decorations to be seen aside from a giant steel frame in the shape of a house and some odd lawn dart thing that had apparently impaled a giant green starfish that was under the putting green. The holes range from wildly simple to annoyingly difficult, but there are no features or anything else to make the minigolf any more fun than putting practice. The employees are relatively nice, but they definitely seemed like they were just there because they had to be. Realistically, though, this place could get away with no employees at all. I understand that family entertainment places like this dont get as much business as they used to, but the people who run this place could at least try to look like they gave a crap. I dont think I want to go back again.

Came over on a Wednesday evening in the summer. We only used the batting cages and driving range, so can only speak to those. First, Ill say the staff was friendly and attentive - they kindly made change for us to use at the cages. 3 of the 8 or 9 pitching machines were out of order, so our group had to take turns on the 50mph and 70mph (baseball) machines. The prices were good $1.50 for 18 pitches, (although a few each round were outside the strike zone). The bats were in decent but not great shape, the grip was peeling off one. After hitting a few, we went over to the pro shop. Again, very friendly and helpful staff. The gentleman comped us a 3-wood because the driver we rented looked pretty beat up. The upper deck stalls werent open and on the bottom level only half of the stall mats had rubber tees for driving. Fortunately a couple folks left and we grabbed their stalls. The best part of our experience at CrackerJax was driving golf balls toward the mountain range - it was truly beautiful at sunset. Overall, Id visit again (and would like to try the mini-golf and sand volleyball - both of which looked fun and were crowded), but dont know if Id recommend the batting cages or driving range to a friend. The equipment and facilities were a little run down.

Apparently, this place likes to deliberately rip you off. I went for mini-golf where you can get 2 unlimited tickets for $12, as opposed to $13 for one-round. Hmmm... didnt think it was exactly necessary to specify when I purchased them (I mean, who would opt for the latter?). When I went back to get balls for our second round I was informed that would be another $13. I told the 17-year-old I had obviously meant to get the unlimited pass... obviously. Nope. I would have to pay for another round. Why would they even sell people the $13 tickets other than to gouge them for a dollar while taking advantage of the fact they maybe didnt read the price board close enough?! I knew about it, and they still managed to screw me! For a place thats supposed to be a real "family fun" time, that leaves a real bad taste in your mouth. Not surprising then, that the actual mini-golf courses were horrible and ratty. One hole had a "bridge" and every person I saw play it had to fish a ball out from underneath with their club since it had gotten stuck. Cracker Jax? More like Crappy Jax.

DO NOT GO HERE! The miniature golf course was worn-down and clearly not maintained. Very cheap too, no cool windmills or bridges with water underneath them; no moving parts at all actually. I cant believe it costs $7.50 either! The Water Wars attraction was a huge disappointment as well. Each "battle station" is only about 20 feet apart and you only get like 5 balloons each...NOT worth $5! Three of the games indoors were broken, which I didnt find out until after I inserted my tokens. After ten minutes waiting for my fries I went to see what was up...they forgot to even start them! This is seriously just a worn-down, truck stop attraction. Not what i expected for Scottsdale! In fact, I have NEVER been to a family fun center that was this bad. I should have known something was up when I walked in on a Saturday and there was only a party of five! I did see quite a few golfers heading to the driving range; maybe thats where theyre putting all all the money.

My wife and I had been looking for a decent place to hit some mini-golf while the weather was nice, and being new to the area decided to try Crackerjax. The place is in a seemingly eternal state of disrepair, the holes are unimaginitive and elementary, and the staff is rude and unhelpful. I cant believe they charge as much as they do for a round of mini-golf when the greens on most of the holes are torn, ripped, and falling apart. Not to emtnion they are the most boring courses ever designed for play. We agreed, as did my sister who tagged along, that we would never waste our money here again. The people giving this place five stars must have never played mini-golf on a decent course before, I feel sorry for them.

My wife and i could not get on a range at any area course, due to re-seeding. We found Crackerjax online and decided to give it a try. We were both pleasantly surprised. The double-decker style range is unique, but very workable. Numerous targets at various distances, and lower level has automatic ball delivery system, with automatic adjustable tee height. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. My wife had a few balls that would take a while to pop up, but the staff fixed it immediately, and gave us both another 20 balls to strike. Staff bent over backwards to make sure we were pleased with our experience. Great desert style range. Well be back.
