My boyfriend and I decided to visit the Kiepersol restaurant for our one year anniversary. When we arrived (after driving 1.5 hours from Dallas), we were told you must have a reservation, but you can sit at the bar and eat. We were both totally bummed after driving so long for a great anniversary night. We have been to other wineries before and never needed a reservation, so it hadnt crossed our minds. We sat at the bar for about 10 minutes when the manager came over and said he found a table for us because someone didnt show up for their reservation (you only get 20 minutes after the time of your reservation to show up). Service was excellent and the food was amazing. If youre looking to eat a quick dinner within an hour, dont go here. Its a great place to relax, drink wine, and enjoy a good meal with long conversation. The crab cakes and filet mignon were outstanding, plus they bring bread out before your meal arrives. My boyfriend even received a handwritten letter in the mail from our waiter thanking us for visiting...WOW. We went on a Saturday night and the winery was already closed (closes at 6pm), but the experience was beautiful and fun nonetheless. We absolutely loved their Cabernet Sauvignon. It sells for twice as much in the restaurant, but if you go to KE Cellars in Tyler just 10 minutes away (owned by Kiepersol), you can buy the same wine for half the cost, so we definitely went and bought a few bottles to take home. Great date place and will definitely go back!

Wow! Didnt know this place existed. We were in Tyler for a few days over the holidays and lucked out. We drink full bodied reds, and they have some good ones. The Cabernet Franc and Texas Mengsel were our favorites. We were pleasantly surprised by the prices; picking up six bottles for under $110.00. Next time were in East Texas....

Had the owner Pierre give the tour. Amazing guy. He fully explains the process and why he chose the location. Personally I thinks his rum is the best rum I have had (bought a handle while there). The vodka is also better than Ciroc in my opinion. I especially like the fact he grows is own grapes and does his own distilling. No middle man.

I have eaten here 4 times and every time it has been outstanding. This is a real working winery and you can see the vineyards if you go during the day and even taste the award-winning wines that they make right there on the estate. This is becoming an East Texas treasure, no doubt.

Perfect place to spend an afternoon and evening. Estate winery, a distillery, a restaurant, and an inn are on the property. Faculties are beautiful and service is top-notch. Very pleased with the quality of the wines.
