This review is of the restaurant. For just opening, service is stellar. The hostesses greeted our group and seated us quickly. They were also very knowledgeable about tours and directions to the beer garden. I was quite impressed. Once at our table, a server greeted us very promptly. It was one of those "your server isnt nearby, but we noticed you" greets. About a minute later, our server was there and she was on top of it! We never went without food, drinks or a general "hows everything?" She even was great at upselling and convinced us that we needed 2 appetizers to start. Sadly, the food wasnt the greatest. Maybe theyre still working out the kinks, though. My friend ordered a burger (well) with a fried egg. The meat came out bloody and the egg arrived over-hard. My burger which I ordered medium came out medium well and charred pretty good on the outside. Honestly, the taste of burnt beef overpowered everything else. The fries were A Maze Zing though. They never seemed to lose their crisp. Never! The beer garden is like a great big party at a park, with BEER! And, its super cheap! So, well be back and well give the restaurant another go. If its a bust, at least there are food trucks in the beer garden.

This review is coming from a person whom never visited a brewery. I had a wonderful time, Ive seen allot of bad reviews on the food so we ate dinner else where afterwards. But the beer was AMAZING and Rodeo Clown was by far my favorite and also enjoyed the other beers quite a bit. We paid $14 for a nice glass and 3 tokens. 2 blue and one red, blue is 8% and below and red is 8% and above and if I remember right I only paid $4 for 2 blue tokens cause I wasnt done drinking after the first 3, lol. But the environment is very friendly and people are very respectful. Kids and dogs are allowed and loved our tour. The gentleman was very knowledgeable and friendly and did an excellent job on the tour. I will most definitely be coming back again and keeping up with the reviews on the food and maybe we will try eating there next time if reviews improve.

Unfortunately our first trip to the brewery left a bad impression on us. We came planning to drink and eat, and brought our 2 dogs because it was supposedly dog friendly, yet when we were sat outside on a very slow Thursday afternoon, we were told after waiting almost 10 minutes for a server that we couldnt sit there with dogs and had to go to the beer garden. This wouldve been ok, but we were told that we couldnt order food out there and that if we wanted to eat, wed have to order food to-go and take it over there. The whole situation was ridiculous because we were told we could sit there with out dogs, then we we couldnt & also couldnt enjoy regular food service. We felt very uncomfortable and just left and went somewhere else. I left 2 stars because I do enjoy the beer, but I wont be back to the tasting room again.

Ive been enjoying Karbach beer for years but just recently went to the brewery. I actually didnt realize they had a full restaurant there. The food was outstanding. We started out with the roasted brussel sprouts and a pretzel/sausage platter. The sprouts were made with a fish sauce which caught us off guard but they tasted great. The pretzel and sausage plate came with in house made mustard which was delicious and a cheese dip that both my wife and I thought of just drinking. The pimento cheese burger I had for the main course was really flavorful. My wife got the shrimp and grits that turned out to have a chili sauce on it that really worked. Im not a fan of grits, but I would have finished that plate. We ordered way too much food which goes to show that there were too many options but we were not disappointed.

1st & last visit. I live nearby so finally got around to visiting and trying the food. I ordered Fish & Chips; got 1 fish fried OK and fries with small salad. Food was decent but nothing I would order again. I was not familiar with procedure and left a more than decent tip to the waiter, walked outside (still within the restaurant) to take a look at the rest of Karbachs outdoors area. I received a tap on the shoulder, turned around and there was my waiter with a dour look on his face telling me that I had not paid all my bill. I apologized and explained to him that I thought I was supposed to pay the people who greeted me at the front. He did not seem to accept my explanation and during the entire time he waited on me, never smiled or even listened to what I said other than my order. I wont be going back.

If you havent tried Karbach beers, they have a small selection of beers in which I am sure youll find one that you like. This review is about the brewery itself. The brewery is big and is a good place to spend a saturday afternoon. It is $10 for a pint glass and three beers. They have two different beer stations where you can go get your pint glass refilled plus a little souvenir area. You can try the beer before you commit to a whole pint. They also have a tour of the brewery which you need to sign up for beforehand! They only take a limited amount of people. The seating is all outdoors and not all the tables are covered. So if it is very hot outside or drizzly you need to get there early to get a covered table. All the brewery staff are very knowledgable and helpful!

We went to Karbach yesterday afternoon and my friend was getting a beer. The bartender, tall, skinny, bald white guy, gave him a pour with a lot of head on top. My friend asked him to top him off nicely, to which the bartender replied, "are you serious?" with a condescending tone. This made my friend upset with the service. I have to agree with him, the bartenders response was out of line. Later, at 5:58, two customers asked for their last pour and he refused service, telling them it was 6:00 (also with an attitude). I never write reviews, but this guy displayed horrible customer service. I am in the service industry and I left with a bad taste in my mouth. #1 rule, customers always right. Love the beer, but probably not coming back.

Love the beer! There are a good amount of brews to choose from. There is not exactly a large parking lot, but that doesnt stop people from showing up. You can take a tour of the facilities for free or just taste the different types of beer they have. When you purchase your tokens for tasting you can choose from two different sizes. You dont have to get another glass if you have one. You can purchase the tokens by themselves, but I suggest starting a glass collection. There is a lot of space to sit and enjoy the beer. They even have bar games if you feel like having a bit of fun. There is usually a food truck parked onsite to help sober up before its time to go. If you can spare the time, go check it out!
