Have been coming here for a little over a year, my friend recommended the store and usually we go at the same time. He prefers salt water and I prefer freshwater. No problem, Jamal has helped both of us find what we need every time. He helps with any problems our tanks are having, by giving advice on the issue, which is usually spot on advice at that. They have a wide selection of fish, FW or SW, and theyll usually special order something if you ask and its in season. Personally i LOVE ropefish and eels. The man has special ordered me countless of each. And im insanely grateful for it! Ive rarely seen a dead fish in a tank, but as soon as they notice it, its gone. They can answer pretty much any question i ever have, and coming from me thats a big deal. I ask about water condition requirements, temp, food, tank mates, nocturnal or not, possible size, will it uproot my plants, is it a showy fish or does it hide, hows it color turn out when it matures, do they do well in large schools or on their own, ANYTHING. He has even helped me design a new tank i bought from him in store, and helped me choose what rocks and corals would look nice for my tiny 10 G SW tank (Ok im mainly FW). All in all 5/5 stars, for being helpful, convenient, priced well, polite, respectable, friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. They have FW fish, SW fish, living rocks for SW, rocks for FW, decor such as spider wood (and many other kinds), plants, corals, tools, food, tanks, anything. The ONLY place I go for my fish, and i drive about 35 minutes there and back.

Bought a blue tang here. The staff was friendly and helpful, Ill give them that. In the tank were three blue tangs, and one of them was obviously sick. (pop eye). The tang I chose died within 2 days of being put in my tank (with three other long-term healthy fish). Im not a newbie. I did everything right. I asked them if they had a return policy similar to Aquarium Worlds and their reply was no, not with saltwater fish, and thats why Aquarium Worlds prices are higher. (I paid $55.00, AW charges $69.00) They offered to test my water (which I already do anyway) and offered to give me a 50% discount on another fish (which would put put me over AWs price level). So... heres your review guys. I hope you take this to heart. If youre going to compete in a market like Houston, price is not the only issue.

Great place!!! From the moment you walk in, all you see is the great things you can do with aquariums. They have an extensive inventory of both fish and fish accessories. Just about everything you could think of. I got two bettas for free and felt awful because they were living in less than two cups of water in a tiny deco bowl. The owner gave me amazing advice on what to buy (and not buy). He was very honest in what Id actually need. On top of that, he gave me a luscious java fern growing from his own tank when he ran out of stock. My betta loves it and cant stop swimming around in its long leaves! Im so glad I went and checked the place out. Amazing service and advice.

By far the friendliest aquarium store in town and the most knowledgeable! I looked everywhere for advice on planted tanks. Aquarium World was a bust...outdated methods and sick fish. That Aquarium Place has gorgeous, healthy fish and plants and sells at a fraction of the cost of their competitors. I am blown away! We bought a canister filter for 30% of what other places were selling AND they taught us how to set it up, right in the shop! They are definitely getting my business from here on out.

Awesome place to get all your fish and aquarium related needs. They have anything you would want and if they dont, the owner will work with you to try to get you what you need. They built my current 120 gallon saltwater setup and I could not be happier with my tank. Jamal got me everything I needed at a lower cost than most other places. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place. Ive attached some pictures of my tank setup.

If you are a fish enthusiasts or just a beginner, That Aquarium Place is a great place for fish; to their knowledge staff, friendly service and great pricing. They have a large variety of fresh/salt water fish, tank accessories as well as fish food. This store is really nice to shop because they care about fish and keeping their customers happy.

Didnt have what I needed exactly, they offered me some alternative solutions but I was dead set on a specific plant. All of their tanks are beautiful, lots of selection fish wise. All fish looked healthy and well priced on most fish. My girlfriend would like me to say they didnt have bettas. Not a big deal to me though.

Great store i drive 40 minutes from my house just to come here. Nice staff owner is welcoming and great prices. Every fish i bring home does great. They carry fresh water, salt water fish along with coral and even foam filters at a good price. Go check it out you wont be disappointed!

Great Place to shop for fish ! Staff and owner are very friendly and eager to help. Good variety of fish, all the fish Ive gotten from there are doing nicely in my tank. (Ive purchased fish from other shops and local pet stores and theyve not done as well). Reasonable Pricing as well!

Even though I live over an hour away from this fish store, it is #1 on my list. Theyre very helpful and it is very enjoyable to be in their store. They often stock very different and unique corals and high end fish. I would suggest this store to everyone I know in the hobby!

The owner here is a great guy. I purchased a goby and pistol shrimp that was already paired and love them. Prices are very fair and lower than most LFS Ive been to. If you are looking for something specific, just let him know and he can probably order them for you.

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff with excellent prices. Owner walked me through setting up a saltwater tank and has helped me successfully care for corals. Amazing selection and the new infinite edge coral show tank is jaw dropping beautiful!
