This park is perfect for all people and their fitness level. The park for kids has the soft surface for toddlers and big and challenging equipment for older ones. If you are in need of wheelchair friendly concrete surfaces and minimal hills there is a scenic path that connects you to the greenway great for the family that is bike and dog friendly. Like to hike or off road with your mountain bike, pick a route less traveled and have a blast. The main path is patrolled by a biking concierge, for help with dirctions, general questions, injury, and security. My family loves this park because we all have different levels of fitness and ideas of outdoor fun, and O.P. Schnabel meets them all.

Great Park. Awesome Trails, you can explore for days. Beautiful scenery. Bike, hike, play, its all there. One day I was running on a trail, stopped to take a breather and I looked up to see a doe about 5 ft from me, just chilling, waiting to see if I was a threat or a friend. I continued on my way and she just kept eating! The ramada makes for great picnics! My only critique: one of the paved running trails is underwater for about 200ft after a heavy rain.

Love the park and this trail head! The NW side is great about always staying healthy and busy, pulling into the parking lot on a Monday afternoon or Saturday morning and you can see it clearly. Days during the week even stay moderately busy, I know that almost any time I take my little to the park shell find someone to play with. The trail head is great for a family stroll, just beware of grumpy cyclists who think they own the path!

This a good park to go MTB it has several trail heads that connect the trails. For the most part the trails are not technical. The park has upper and lower single track trails. Make your way to the lower section towards the creek. There the trails go for miles out toward I.H. 10 and 1604 Highway. If you rather ride your bike on the paved trails, this is a good park to start from. Since there is plenty of free parking.

So much to do here. The YMCA is right at the entrance while the various sports fields and playground are all just inside. One of the best features are the paths that lead to the Leon Creek Greenway. These paths are patrolled regularly by law enforcement and offer anything from walking, running, all types of biking. The mountain bike trails are right off the main path and they are great too! So much to do here...

Park has a little for everyone. Walking trails, hiking trails, bike trails. Great place to take your dog. The park is deceptively large. They even have an area for little kids, basketball courts and baseball / soccer fields. Pro tip, stay away on Saturday mornings! It seems every kid in San Antonio has their soccer game that day and youll be stuck in traffic trying to get out.

Great place for adults or kids to play sports. Also a great place to work out go swimming or go for bike or hike. About $78 for one adult and the family for each month membership or about $98 for two adults and the family membership each month. Membership also allows discounts for adults or youth sporting events. Membership here gets you 2 locations pontraco and O.P. location.

Very awsome park. Been venturing in here long before the city took it over there are still many trails left and it has a lower level that leads to other trail heads going towards 1604. If you want a awesome view find the tree house its up past the pavilion and just about the radio tower find it, climb it and it will be most rewarding. Ill post pictures of the view

Love this place we come here allot since its close by. We see wildlife every time and the trails are clean. Depending on the day and time it could get kinda packed but not as bad as you would think. Plenty of picnic tables, some porta potties and an ok bath room could be better I guess. Great views on some parts of the trails. Great open fields too for sports.

Cute park and really large - much bigger than I would have expected for its location. Ended up walking my dog here but next time Ill be whipping out the mountain bike as there are plenty of trails to do so. Also, if youre into road biking the asphalt is in great condition and goes on for mile - highly recommend you get out of the house and make a visit here!

A nice little park with several different things to bring you in! The YMCA for the area is here, with its pool, splash pad, and sports area, as well theres a kids park with the nice rubberized padding, and then theres the river trail head. Despite being well within the city, it feels like a nice slice of the country side. We will definitely be coming back!

A great place to get outdoors and spot deer! I used to come here all the time to hike and mountain bike with friends. The trails are reasonably well maintained and parking is usually plentiful. One of my friends was murdered here, though, so now the place has a different aura to me. Hopefully it was a relatively isolated incident.

People dont realize how much access you have to recreational areas after you enter here. At present, the trails go 7 miles south/east and another 7 miles north/west without having to enter any city streets or cross traffic. The park itself isnt that big, and misleading as to what all you get for your money (free!)

Really nice park. The paved trail is long and taken care of very well. The trails are really nice too. You can ride around all day and not really get bored or too tired. There are some more challenging parts, but overall a very nice place. The turn in might be easy to miss though if youre coming off Bandera.

I have trail heads closer to where I live but make the extra drive because of the clean and secure parking @ OP. Great new playground for the kids. Spacious paved walking and biking trails. Awesome MTB trails! Scenic ride with lots of wildlife. Really enjoy my morning rides. Highly recommend.

I love this park. The playground is large and safe. The parking lots are giagantic. The walking paths are well cared for and varied in difficulty. There are several picnic areas and restrooms at several places in the park, as well. So many animals to see! I cant recommend it enough!

I love this place! Great trails to hike and a good playground for the kids. Theres also a pavilion where we can eat. Thats where the bathrooms are. If we have a small group, we will sometimes claim a picnic table and use the grill/firebox to roast hot-dogs and marshmallows.

I love this place! There is so much to do here. Personally, I love the trails and the all the nature, and the playground for my son. But theres also a y.m.c.a., pool, baseball fields, and a basket ball court and probably more that I dont even know about. Its an Awesome place.

A lot of things to do here. You can go on a hile, bike trail, play ball or bring the kids to play on the playground. You can even rent out the main pavilion or have a pinic at any of the smaller ones along the route. They even have soccer fields and a swimming pool now!
