Ive been here twice, the first time the place was packed and we got seated fairly quickly but then waited 90 minutes for our food. There was a table there that had a loud possibly drunk woman there but they were pleasantly drowned out by the fantastic pianist. The food when it finally did arrive was shockingly fantastic to the point that it took my starving frown right up-side down. The second time I came here they were dead, service was much faster, and food was equally as delicious. This place is on the expensive side and its wine selection is lacking but overall the waiter and waitress that I had were both kind and paid personal attention, making me feel like a valued customer. The view is relaxing and down right pleasant.

I have been eating at this establishment for a little over a year. Until today, Ive had nothing but wonderful experiences in this restaurant. Today, While the wait staff is always wonderful, the cook (s) and manager were awful. The waffles have shrunk in size, and the kitchen tried to short me on the crab meat to my omelette. I know the amount of crabmeat that should be in the omelette and the size of the waffles because Ive eaten the same two items (exclusively) the entire year. To add insult to injury, the manager tried to tell me that the waffle size hadnt changed, although an employee had already confirmed it had, and he was rude to boot. Ill never spend my money in this place again!

I am writing this review a bit under protest. Thats because if everyone found out how woneedful it is, the wait will be longer. We have been there several Friday evenings and once for a weekend brunch. On Friday evening, you enter to be greeted by their lovely manager, Bunny. The piano music is soothing and just perfect for the adult atmosphere. Joe can really tickle those keys! Our favorite server is Richard. But all their servers are very good. The food has yet to disappoint, and we have tried almost the entire menu. The wine selection has a good selection. I, in all honesty cannot think of any negative comments. We finally found "Our Place", since loosing The Lighthouse to a fire.

I absolutely have to respond as a patron regarding this Jewel of Solomons directly to E-4 Mafia...I honestly thank you for your service but your revue of this establishment is ridiculous!...parking in mud...it has been the wettest May in the history of the state! ...shady boat owners at adjoining marina...LIVE on a boat in the cold rain...and have a smile. I suspect you must be Army/Air Force ...besides that, this restaurant has nothing to do with the local marina other than location! pricey...Excellent food and service, absolutely worth every dollar! Sorry, but I hate revues trashing a wonderful place based on factors not truly associated with the business.

Excellent. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait so we had a beer on the terrace and enjoyed the boats cruising by. Bunny, the manager, came by joined us and explained the menu. She is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The dinner was wonderful, the food innovative, tasty with a top notch wine list. Even though the restaurant was full, the service was on time, polite and informed. The owner even introduced himself and made sure everything was fine This restaurant was better than some of the highly touted ones we have visited here or in other resort towns - by a large margin. A great experience hidden away at the end of the Island.

An excellent dining experience! The Rockfish with Lumpcrab Imperial was one of the nicest presentation with great flavor that I have had in my travels this year from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the shores of New England. The staff made everyone feel welcome and the decor and music added wonderfully to a great experience. Top that off with a dockside view of sailboats coming back in after a late afternoon/early evening sail and it was a great finale to my business trip to this area. Kudos to all the staff and thank you. I will definitely be visiting you again during my next trip to the area. Scott D.

Solomons Island never fails to disappoint! Yes, you have to search for this gem, but well worth it! Charming atmosphere with sumptuous delicacies - the portobello stuffed mushrooms and the Mediterranean filet were our melt-in-your-mouth favorites. Although we dined tapas - style (rare for this area), they also offer a full menu of delectable appetizers through delicious dinners and house an admirable selection of wine-they had my favorite Beaujolais! Our server Sarah was most gracious and accommodating - much appreciated! Looking for a fine dining experience? You just found it! Enjoy!

This has become our number one place for Sunday Breakfast. We have had the banana foster waffles, crab omelets, and several different tapas. Thursday we tried the lobsters. The service is exceptional. Food presentation beautiful. The chef comes out and checks to see how the patrons enjoyed their meal. We attended a dinner theater in December and had the best time ever!!! The actors got the entire group involved in the murder mystery and the food was excellent.

I cant say enough about this restaurant. The view, the atmosphere, the service, the entertainment (Piano), and most importantly, the food!! All outstanding! Very large menu with many different food choices. Can choose tapas style plates or a full entree. We have not had a bad meal yet. Its a beautiful setting right on Back Creek/Patuxent River. Plan to spend some time there exploring the wonderful dishes and drinks! Love it!

This is hands down the best place to go in the area. Foodies will be pleased. The service is great, the bar knows what they are doing, and so does the kitchen staff. Every time I go here I leave happy. The "tapas" is larger than I expect, I doubt many would complain about that, just keep it in mind when ordering :) I highly recommend this restaurant!!! Also, they have a piano. A guy comes in for brunch and plays. ♡

Enjoyed the evening. Nice change of pace offered on menu ( needed in this area). Food was delicious. Server was very polite and most informative. Follow up visit by the manager, Bunny, was pleasant as well. Refreshing decor with real cloth tablecloths and napkins. All the small touches were in place to provide a relaxing, refreshingly different evening. Next visit will include my husband, for sure.

I love the atmosphere and the food is unique. Water view, outdoor seating in warm weather, and great staff. I love that everything on the menu is a typical sea-side feast but with a twist. For example, the burger is served with a mango salsa made in-house. Cozy speakeasy feel with a player piano! They do murder mysteries there too. Love the variety!
