Not worth the price. They have had almost a decade to develop the unused rooms on the science exhibit side of the museum, the permanent exhibits, and they have done nothing with them. There is NOT ENOUGH CONTENT here especially if you have kids who need more to interact with. Their pathetic attempt at keeping small children entertained are a bunch of legos and wooden toys around some tables. We have those at home, thanks. Also they have a big beautiful wooden playground house outside but it has fallen to disrepair and they dont bother to fix the water guns and chutes they used to have running on it years ago. They charge an additional $5 a person for the seasonal exhibit, which is usually another lame diversion that will be spent in merely a matter of 15 minutes or so. Apparently the managers figure if they are this close to Mexico, they might as well just treat their museum like Mexicans treat businesses. Keep the money, leave everything alone.

Very disappointing. Our first attempt we drive an hr to find that they were closing early for an event. 2nd attempt i call and ask. They say they are open. I made sure to say i was driving an hr. We get there and as i check in they inform me all thr activities are booked up by local schools til around 1130. Come to find out they were booked til 2. We attempt to look at the art gallery etc but almost all the exhibits are closed as they are redoing them. They could have told me on the phone. The playground is leaking everywhere as there is a water feature and the wood is rotting. Very much 2 wasted trips. Not much to do there to begin with even if the activies were open

Ive been told by many friends that the IMAS is such a great museum. Well I finally took my family to what used to be family discount day. (Which no longer is a thing). I was so disappointed. There was almost nothing to do or see and even though they have a nice outdoor playground, not even all of that is functioning. Also, upon arriving I told the woman at the front desk that we had never been there and didnt know what to expect. We werent informed about any presentations or anything. So we missed getting into basically the only thing in the whole place. SO not worth the money. Very disappointing.

I wish they had more in their exhibits since you can be in and out of the museum and have seen all of the exhibits in their entirety in less than 2 hours. They have good programs for the kids and fun family activities. Museum membership is still a bargain if you travel. Ive used my IMAS museum membership to get into museums in San Antonio, Houston and Denver for free. Overall a pleasant experience.

Many particular events for adults and the area kids is really small. That playground out side needs to repaired and could be dangerous for the kids all those leaks. It is a very poor museum that most of the time is not thinking about activéis for families. Culture or science do look as a priority for this museum. It is really sad not to have acces for real family actives and art.

The price is a little much for the size and experience. However they do have a student discount which is appreciated. It seems to be geared towards children which I did not know. So it would be great for young families. This museum offers a diverse experience for children as they have hands-on science programs, small creatures, fun art, a play area, and outdoor sculptures.

I have visited the museum a couple to times. Exhibits are not that impresive, they need more quality atractions. Good for School Field Trips and they have a Kids Zone with playground.
