Only for US Citizens! - I was very excited to visit the Army Medical Museum, but since Im not a US citizen (just visiting from Mexico) I wasnt allowed to get a visitors pass. You can actually get one, but you have to go through a background check that may take some days. I understand and respect why they do this. I just want to warn all non-US citizens so that they dont go out there expecting to be allowed into the Fort.

Unexpectedly great museum! Lots of different exhibits featuring everything you want to know about Fort Sam Houstons medical background starting with revolutionary war to the present. Dont forget to head out back and check out the authentic army medical train, jeeps, and helicopters!!

This is a fun museum with plenty of information. I liked seeing the medical supplies and herb kits of the soldiers. This is worth visiting, if you are in the area.

Has great history of army medical corp. Facility is well organized compared to size and it is free. Operates on donations.
