Tried this place out for the first time today because of the reviews I read online. First person I met was an elderly white guy at the front desk and he didnt crack a smile the entire time I was there. No biggie, put my shoes on and went to the bowling area. Heres where I realized their biggest flaw : THEY DONT ORGANIZE THE BALLS. Ive been to other places where all the bowling balls are lined up according to finger size and weight but here youre practically trying to find Waldo. The entire time I was there, about an hour, I was looking for something that fit my hand. Even my friend who has a smaller hand than I spent a good 20 minutes looking for something to fit. Eventually I settled on one that was a bit big and towards the end my fingers were hurting. I guess if you bring your own ball its not a problem but for someone like me who just wanted to try a game of bowling its pretty bad. On the upside they play animations on the scoreboard between rounds that are surprisingly clever. Also the mens restroom smelled like it hadnt been cleaned in a week! Yuck

Not very happy with the service there. I took 4 young girl there tonight 10-4 years in age and they moved our lane twice. The first time wasnt a big deal because the game hadnt started, the second was a problem because the game started and it was hard to get the two younger ones to realize that the lane we started in was not the lane we were currently bowling in now. (which was just one lane over) I didnt like the service we received, made to feel like I wasnt an important patron....never again will I go here....

This place is great! I can actually afford to take the family here. I was a little nervous because in Houston you never know exactly what you are walking into, but this place is wonderful. The staff is super friendly and we all have a great time. In this economy its great to have a nice place to take everyone and leave feeling like you not only got your moneys worth, but got a deal and spent some time enjoying your family. We will be repeat customers.

The "Dude" would feel right at home rolling on these lanes. Great pro shop, with a team that will get your league avg. up by 15 pins min. Will undoubtedly lose this as they tear down everything around it and build all new Houston. Do not miss this chance, to experience bowling as it has been since Don Weber except all lanes and scoring is state of art. And it has a nice rug, that really ties the place together. The Dude.

Del Mar is a great bowling atmosphere for our league of serious bowlers. Great bar and food too if you are hungry. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because there is always a couple morons who try to throw the ball halfway down the lane when they arent falling over the line or throwing gutter balls. Same team had this tall guy that looked like a bird that cried when he ruined his game in the 10th frame.

Ive bowled in several bowling centers and this has to be the best by a long shot! It doesnt look like much from the outside, but dont let that fool you, the lanes are premium and always in excellent condition! Prices are reasonable, leaving enough money for food and beverage. The people are great too, very friendly! So give em a try, youll love the atmosphere and will leave with a smile!

I have been on the Sunday night league for several years now and the staff always takes really good care of us. The lanes are well maintained and I dont remember ever having issues with the air conditioning. I wish the shop would open at least once a month on a Sunday because it is impossible for me to visit it during regular hours.

Great summer league. My only complaint is that we signed up with 3 and they gave us this poor excuse for a 4th and 5th. The 4th is decent but looks like a bird. The 5th has a 132 average. And he is an adult, is right handed, and has a fully functioning right arm. It makes no sense.

Very classic style bowling lanes. Great fun atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is decent. The quality of the balls and the slick lanes are top notch. Ive been to many modern bowling lanes and they are never properly maintained. Only drawback is the lack of modernism.

love it the place is family friendly and economical the pro shop is small but knowledge is A+A+ waiting for food to get ready was a slow down but all in all this place will see plenty of business from me and anyone that ask me about a place to bowl DELMAR LANES!!!!

Best hamburgers in Houston! Worth a trip just to eat one. Also owner and family are very responsive to customer complaints and makes things right. Hard to find these days. I recommend it highly for family fun and casual bowling.

Almost always super busy, unfortunately they are understaffed. Those that do work there are fantastic and helpful when they make it to you. Reasonably priced, especially weekends with the coupon.

Nice through back, old school bowling alley. They have great drink specials. I would have never gone here had my wife not bought a Groupon. Now Ive been several times because its nostalgic.

One of my favorite bowling alleys in Houston. Family owned and operated is always better. Staff is amazing and extremely helpful. They house the best pro shop as well.

went with a Groupon Coupon. Groupon coupon was for 4 adults. We are 5. Manager did not allow us to buy for an extra person so we were upset. He blamed it on Groupon

Great place, Friday special bowl 2 hours for $45 This price includes shoes. Food isnt the best but music is up to date and plays hop.
