My review mirrors the reviews of many others. Atmosphere was great; laughter, pins being knocked down, music being played, and arcade game dings and whistles blaring. Good vibes The problem with this location is that its poorly maintained. Im no professional bowler so Im not going to pretend to know if the lanes are oiled. If it shining, then I consider it oiled. The 3 times Ive been, the floor has had a shine. Now the issue is, how slanted or dented the lanes are. Quickly refer back to the beginning of this paragraph, youll note Im not a professional bowler, so Im not expecting to bowl more then a 150. 180 on an AMAZING day. But there is no hope for either of those scores when you throw a ball down the center of the lane and it veers to the right about midway through the lane. We have already established Im no pro, but Im not that bad either. When this happens consistently throughout the night, you just understand its the lane. Then you have to contend with pins being knocked down when the machine sets them up. Now, for me thats great. Ill take those free points, but for true competitors; Im sure thats a huge annoyance. This isnt an every round thing, but it happens often enough for me to note it. Service was decent, its a bowling alley so I dont have high hopes when it comes to food and delivery of said food. With all this being said, I would recommend this bowling alley ONLY on TUESDAYS ($2 shoe rental $2 games) and SUNDAYS($3.49 shoes $3.49 games)! These two days offer cheap bowling promotions, which kind of make it semi ok for the decent service and the poorly maintained lanes. If you go any other night, thats on you. One area that I think is well done, is that of the pool table and arcade. Aesthetically it appeasing if you have small children, or if you yourself allow your inner child to come out.

I am in a bowling league, so I was forced to go to Bowlmore for 5 weeks straight, and each time I went, the more problems I began to notice. Something is seriously wrong with the management there. All of the staff members are on a radio earpiece with, what I assume is a tyrant of a General Manager yelling orders from the security camera closet. No one seems happy working there... at a bowling alley no less... probably cause they are scared to lose their job or get yelled at. The staff never seem like the know what they are doing, which is a bad sign cause it means they have a high turn over rate. New bartender every week, never knows how the computers work, or even how to bartend really. Takes orders slow and makes one drink at a time. Kitchen is consistently sending out bad food. The GM must be some kind of moron or maniac who cant keep the place properly staffed. There is never anyone who knows what they are doing! The best answer you can hope for is "let me find someone who can help" but more than likely you will have an issue and spend 10 minutes looking for a staff member, cause only like 5 people are working a giant bowling alley. Everyone working there either acts like its their first day, or they just dont care. Food is slow, drinks are slow, employees non-existant, but what about the actual bowling? Well the equipment (balls, shoes, etc...) are old and gross. The lanes are dry and will ruin a good bowlers experience. Machines continuously jam up creating long delays. The lighting is bad and the music is insanely loud. Do not bowl at Bowlmor unless you enjoy bad service and sub par facilities.

My first time ever going here was in December 2011 and I absolutely loved it. The service was great, the wings were good. The drinks were kind of pricey, yet strong. The best thing to me about this place though, that set it apart from the rest of the bowling alleys in Houston was their music. I love all kinds of music and this place played all genres of music which made it feel something like a club atmosphere with bowling added. These things made me go back frequent. Somewhere in between then and now, things have changed. Went to celebrate my girl Birthday and the music variety has changed. They only play alternative music now, no hip-hop. When I noticed the kind of music being played, I asked the DJ where was the hip-hop music and he told me that the establishment didnt want him to play hip-hop music. This is a BIG DUD to me, I literally walked out with a headache from the music annoyance. Considering Ive been here probably about twenty times and every time Ive went, the crowd was predominantly African American, you would think they wouldnt take hip-hop music away but they have, just stupid. The wait for food is long and not to mention, the wings have also changed. When asked about this flaw, the response was that the wings I previously had were had were game day wings. One problem with that though, Ive never been here to look at a game. I can overlook the food, poor service, but I can not overlook the music, if this doesnt change I wont be going back

I WENT THERE LAST NIGHT WITH MY WIFE AND IM A FAIR PERSON WE BOUGHT THE UMLIMITED BOWLING AND MY WIFE FEET WHERE HURTING FROM USING THE BOWLING SHOES SO SHE PUT HER SHOES BACK ON CAUSE SHE REALIZE THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN THERE 40 MINTUES BEFORE US WAS BOWLING WITHOUT BOWLING SHOES. 20 MINUTES LATER THE EMPLOYEE CAME TO US AND TOLD ME THAT MY WIFE NEEDED TO PUT THE BOWLING SHOES BACK ON AND DIDNT SAY ANYTHING ELSE TO THE OTHER BOWLERS. WELL FAIR IS FAIR I QUESTION THEIR POLICY ABOUT THE SHOES, IF SHE HAD TO WEAR THEM SHOULDNT IT BE ENFORCE WITH EVERYONE WEARING OPEN TOE SHOES OR SOLE SHOES. AS I REPORTED TO THE EMPLOYEE,SHE TOLD HER MANAGER DESIREE. THE MANAGER WAS NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. BECAUSE SHE INFORM THE GROUP ABOUT THE POLICY AS WELL AND THEN POINT TO ME SAYING IM THE ONE WHO SAYING IF MY WIFE HAS TO WEAR THEM ,THEY SHOULD TO. IM NOT PLAYING THE RACE CARD BECAUSE MY WIFE IS HISPANIC AND I AM JAMAICAN BUT, THAT MANAGER WILL BE REPORTED ON MY BEHAVE. FAIR IS FAIR. THE BOWLING LANES AND AREA IS OKAY BUT BECAUSE OF THE MANAGER I RATE IT A 2.

We have a 7-year old. He needs to bowl with the bumpers up. This place is designed to raise the bumpers for specific bowlers like my son. On our lane, only one bumper raised. It took us a while to get an attendant out to raise the bumper. But, it happened every time, and the attendant would not come back every time. Then, the gate to clear the pins came down and stayed down. We pressed help on the screen. I told the manager. For twenty minutes we waited. Finally, a waitress noticed and motified management again. It finally reset, but with a few pins missing. I asked the manager to move us to another lane. He would not. I explained we still had problems with the bumpers. He denied the problems until he saw it for himself. Finally, he moved us to another lane. One bumper would not work again! I had had it. We finished one game, an hour and a half. Not including drinks, it was over 40 bucks! The wait staff are superb. The management, Brandon was his name, was horrible! 300 closed. If management continues like this, Bowlmor will close too.
