At first, it seemed like it was very exquisite, the staff were friendly, and the pool was very luxurious. A little dirty, but still beautiful nonetheless. What makes me upset is that, my family and I found FLEAS in the hotel room, and I have bites all over my legs, ankles and arms, my other family member as well, experienced different type of itching. There was also a ROACH in the room, so revolting, and then if that wasnt enough the cleaning people didnt give us clean sheets. Then another thing, was there was little lizard in here, just roaming around, spiders too on every corner. Finally what made me very angry, is that people were trying to come into the room, three times and the people didnt even do anything about it, they just asked oh if they do it again we will inform the police right away. BS. My stay at this resort was something I was looking forward too, but nothing of this sort.

I brought my family for an overnight stay. The staff is about as friendly as can be! I ran into a couple of issues such as my key card losing access to my room and the A/C unit springing a small leak. The staff was very quick to answer the phone and resolve my issues as soon as they popped up. The neighborhood is fairly old and very charming. It is not a hotel as one might expect--it is all housing. A pretty river and lots of trees run through the campus. The pool is neat. It has a rock structure that small children can climb and jump off of (please keep in mind the water is only at most 3 1/2 feet). There is a swim-up bar and a basketball hoop inside the pool, and a sand volleyball court and playground located off to the side. I was pleased with my stay! Ill definitely check in again the next time Im in the Brownsville area.

The resort was more than we expected and the pictures looked like. We stayed in a house that had a nice patio and views. We did not play golf but the courses and the service looked great. There was also a heated pool and full on buffet was part of the breakfast! It was way more than your average continental breakfast. If we come to the valley area again there is no other place we would want to stay at, plus the hotel prices are all comparable to the merry go round of hotels.

The staff here is amazing. We had a group going to a wedding, and rather than making us wait on cabs, the staff shuttled us all to and from Brownsville. The suite was very nice and clean, the grounds were beautiful, the pool is huge with a swim up bar, and the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Also, check out is at noon, so you get to sleep in before the drive home!

I stay here on business several times a year. The location is convenient, rooms are spacious and have a full kitchen! The staff is very nice and I will always return. The bed was the most comfortable one I have slept on in a hotel in a long time. Ill be back!

I went to the pool area and then one of the houses for a graduation party and everything was fantastic. The service was great and the people were kind. Everything was beautiful and the house was incredible.

Located north of Brownsville, close to major tourist destinations in South Texas and Mexico, Rancho Viejo offers excellent location to relax and unwind. Golf course and gym are part of the amenities.

Staff is amazing. Rooms are comfy and clean. The only complaint I have is that some of the doors in my room such as the back door and bathroom did not lock. Other than that, our stay was great!
