We love to C&W Dance. We went on 06/24/2017 and saw the last two bands that would be playing. The first band had a drummer and two guys with electric guitars. C&W bands always have an acoustic guitar. They played rock N roll music. The second band played the same. Tried dancing some but hard to dance C&W with that band and people blocking the outside lane for us to dance around the floor. Outside lane on dance floor is for dancers to go around floor. Slower dancers and swingers dance in the middle. I wont recommend this place for C&W dancing since they play Rock & Roll. Nothing against R&R and I wasnt expecting Willie (saw him in November at Win Star) but where were the Boys?

We loved this place, but probably for different reasons than most. We got there when it opened at 9am and were able to enjoy the beautiful grounds with the massive live oaks! We also had fun in the general store. I was most struck by how friendly everyone is. This place is known as a party location, but somehow there was an atmosphere of incredible respect. My hat is off to whoever maintains the fantastic ambience youll find here.

Love this little town for events, its great during Harvest Classic, they have camping, music, movies, and trials. The town is super tiny and famous thanks for Willie Nelson. They have a little food shop, a bar, and a post office, as well as a dance hall that events could be held at. You can get there through the dirt road or the round about way on a paved road. The bar has super cute kitties in there that are residents.

If Im close and I have a few minutes, I try to stop here to have at least one Shiner Bock beer and wander around for a few minutes. Enjoy the post office, the hat store, the chickens running around, and often them impromptu music going on. Its usually quiet during the day during the week. It can get quite a bit more busy on the weekends, especially when theyre having events.

Ive been to Luckenbach, TX, but not with Waylon and Willy. Its still an experience though, and youre missing out if you skip it. Understand though, Luckenbach is comparable to many other tourist traps (think Wall Drug), asked its not a real town (Literally it is, but go there to understand). Drink a Shiner while there, listen to live music, and reminisce!

Als je in het weekend hier in de buurt ben, moet je hier zeker langsgaan (hoewel in het hoog seizoen erg druk zal zijn). Lay-back atmosphere en goede live muziek.

It offers an iconic post office and hats. If you only have a little bit of time in Austin and want to see the Texas Hill Country in a day trip, then you may want to check this out on the way to Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock, but you really will have seen this in a few minutes. ;-) Or if you like live music, then of course, this is a place to go to.

I was not aware that Texas does not allow open-carry like Louisiana so had to leave my handgun in my truck. That dont suit me but, after a few Shiner Bocks, I got into the Texas way of doing things and finally soothed my nerves enough to enjoy the music and atmosphere. Nice place and I may come back real soon - minus my gun.

You must have a heard of the Texas bucket list of things to do and experience. Add this place to the top of list. While here book yourself in at Fredericksburg and take a shuttle to Luckenback as the average visitor should rather let someone else drive after meeting new friends and experiencing the live music.

Apparently country legends sometimes stop by to strum a guitar- be sure to stop in at the back of the store to see whats happening. When we were there for a special event, they had a chuck wagon serving dinner, complete with cofee from the fire pit - best food and atmosphere Ive experienced in a long time!!

Fun iconic Texas spot - just dont plan on spending the whole day ;) There is always great music going on, and a nice stream to walk along while drinking a cold beer. Definitely a place to visit, however I cant see a return trip - once youve seen it thats it. p.s. watch out for the roosters!!!!

15 years since I started stopping here on motorcycle rides, and the only changes made have been for the better (like the new bathrooms, those are stellar). There isnt a place more iconic than Luckenbach, and if you go to Fredericksburg without making the detour, youre missing out.

It is what it is. 100% tourist trap. Live music most of the time...some good, some bad. Its one of those places that youre almost mandated to stop at, anytime youre in the area. Go ahead and experience it, check it off your list, and move on.

We saw Weldon Henson on a Saturday afternoon at Luckenbach and the entire experience was outstanding. The music was great as was the venue, huddled under the shade of the live oaks. If we could have, wed have stayed all night.

It might be alright for a concert, but if you are going only because you heard the song, you will be disappointed. Also, be aware they have chickens running Free range, and Texas law prohibits selling beer on Sunday before noon.

Luckenbach is always a must when visiting Fredericksburg. Its nice to sit outside and enjoy a cold beer while listening to live music. Watched Charlie Robison put on a great show! Friendly staff and laid back atmosphere.

Vergil is a prick-cop. A real Barney Fife when it comes to acting like an a-hole. He could be considerate and keep peace AND FRIENDS but wants to act like a freaking Yankee instead. Let them have it all.

Always a good time. Country music all day and night. Our favorite "must see" every time were in Texas. Best of the best. And theyve added flush toilets in a brand new bathroom building.

We went for a food truck rally that was lackluster to say the least. I could see how it would be cool for a concert if you really like the artist but the event we went to was blah.

Since my great grandparents immigrated to Texas from Germany eventually settling in Waco,a town like Luckenbach is a must visit.People are warm and friendly, and the beer is cold.

A fun piece of Texas and American music history. Nothing fancy, but the beer is cold and the music is usually top-notch. I enjoy the chickens and the resident longhorn steer.

Nice place, not boring when music is happening. Were not tourists, but cant help feeling like one with the high prices. Two burgers, 1 curly fries and two beers cost $26.

Ice cold beer. Very nice people to sit and visit with. Love music all the time. Some food to snack on. A country store to look through, and lots of friendly atmosphere.

Fun little stop on the way back from Fredericksburg. Live music, cold beer. A little touristy but thats not a big deal. Cash only for beer, but they have an ATM.
