A beautiful place to visit, but we were walking with the family when thus green four wheeled vehicle goes driving through shooting off super loud rockets and laughing at the kids screaming, scaring my kids in the process. I found a policeman on bicycle and told him at which point he proceeds to begin laughing at me, tells me to mind my own business that they are scaring birds, and when I said they were purposefully scaring kids as well as mine, he said then we dont need to be here and to leave, because he actually has a purpose here and I dont. Way to go Ft Worth on your choice of police. Real professional.

A few months ago a friend took me here after one of the roughest days in my entire life. It was very calming and relaxing and overall made my worries disappear for a short time. Glad to have been introduced to these gardens. Its also really magical at night and I would reccomend people to visit it with a friend and bring a flashlight too, as it is dark in some spots but really well lit in the main areas. I would also advise people to watch their step and to SUPERVISE their kids at all times! Lots of dangerous drops but thankfully most the pools are shallow.

Absolutely beautiful location, but not good with reservations. We had a signed contract and paid a fee to reserve a certain area of the water gardens for a surprise proposal. When we arrived there were people in the location we reserved, because no signs had been put up or no rope had sectioned off this area. This meant for the next 2 hrs I had to shoo people away and ask them to leave instead of enjoying the proposal and photo shoot that followed. I asked for a refund from the Park and they refused. They need some work in that department.

If youre visiting downtown Fort Worth do yourself a favor and visit the Water Gardens, especially if you have children. While its at the opposite side of downtown from Sundance Square its worth the walk. The main attraction is the Active Pool where you can walk down in the middle of the water display. Its an amazing experience. If its nice outside and youd like to picnic this area is perfect. The Gardens were originally constructed in 1974 and the claim to fame is being used in a scene from Logans Run, a 1976 science fiction film.

My favorite spot for a little study break! Sometime it can be a little crowded, especially in the weekend. But most of the time, its very quiet and you can go here to have a picnic by the water. It has a very unique structure. Anytime when my friends from out of town visit me in Fort Worth, I would bring them here. You can take the steps and go all the way to the bottom of the garden. It is so refreshing and is a nice touch to the downtown area.

Love the water gardens. Great place day or night. I go every time I am in Fort Worth. If you want to go somewhere to relax and be outside it is the place to go. At night everything it totally different with the landscape lights and water features. Be careful especially with children, 4 people died here a few years back in the water. This is not to say dont go, just be responsible and follow the signs, and keep younger children with you.

Breathtaking waterfalls and pools in the heart of Fort Worth. The views and experience are unforgettable and makes for great photos and memories. Parking is a hassle, but worth it. Can get very crowded on weekends, especially during the summer. Watch your children though. You can lose your footing easily on the wet rocks and steps, then fall into a life or death situation fairly quickly. Not for the faint hearted. Highly recommended.

A good place to spend your time. There are various different fountains with different features. For example, there is a silent pool which is just water dribbling over walls quietly. There is an active pool which has water falling in a kind of elaborate vortex making deafening noise at the center. Then there are lawns to sit on as well as an open amphitheatre. Overall, a different sort of park which is worth visiting.

Nice place to visit and explore in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. This place is free to visit but you will probably have to pay for parking. Plenty of tourists usually come here to walk around and take pictures. We went on a Saturday, and they had parkour training/exercises going on (which was cool to see). There were about 30 of them gathered there. This is 12 minutes away (walking distance) from Sundance Square.

Great experience located near the convention center. There are distinct zones, including a mountain encouraging climbing, a mist filled pool, and a quiet, below ground level meditation pool. The major site is the active pool, where you can descend some steps and experience the sound and thrill of rushing water. A great postmodern piece of architecture. Worth a stop for some quiet introspection.

This is just an amazing place to visit with all the different pools and fountains. Its hard to describe this place with numerous water themed parks. There are some dangerous walking areas. We had engagement photos taken at night here so I have fond memories of this place. You really just have to see it for yourself. And its free to visit! Parking is a bit of an issue.

Beware the drowning possibility. After my family walked down one of the garden areas, I noticed some names on a plaque. Googled them and found out they had fallen in and that it 6 deep with strong undertow and all in party had died trying to save small girl. With that said, its a beautiful gem in the city. Great evening activity, pretty lights once it gets dark.

I gotta admit this place was pretty cool, especially if you come towards dusk and can see it then with some of the pretty lights. Great place to sit and think if no one else is around or to just take some killer photos. The big fountain is so cool, though scary to walk down into!!! But it is a very amazing feature I have to say!

Cool tourist attraction, this was my second visit and I was disappointed that the lights in the water were not on. Made it difficult to walk down the steps in the dark and it took away from the experience. Hopefully they get the lights back on soon. I still recommend everyone to at least visit once it you havent been.

Much larger than I expected. It is an expansive park. The "active pool" that has the descending steps and waterfalls is only maybe 1/4 of the park. Take the time to walk around. There are two other large pools and some neat open areas. Great ways to spend an hour or so. Park on side streets, which was not a problem.

It can get a little crowded here and a bit nerve wracking when going down into the water pit part of it, as the path is narrow and wet, and there are probably about 50 people trying to maneuver sideways past each other to get to the bottom and back up. But the water gardens are beautiful and clean for the most part.

Do NOT attend this show of you plan to build a new home. This show is highly recommended for those who wish to sample from 6 different spice vendors, talk to an insurance agent or two, see 4 different vendors hawking cookware or remodel your home. Waste of money. I have learned more from a visit to Home Depot.
