My son and I recently started golfing and we have tried a few of the golf courses thoughout town. I have been to Underwood about 5 times. My last two visits have been horrible. Both times I have set a tee time early morning and when I head to the first hole theres always a backup. The last visit there were 3 parties ahead of me. I asked one of the parties ahead of me what their tee time was and was told they just headed out there. Secondly, the Course marshall, Lester does nothing about the issue however seems to have an issue with fathers and sons on the course. The last two times my son and I have been out there he harassed us on every other hole. This time he started the harassment by the 3rd hole because we were behind. I explained this issue with the tee time and the parties ahead of us to no avail. He even questioned if I paid for my son. Course marshall, Lester has by far been the worst individual with no redeeming values I have meet on a golf coarse here in El Paso. There is absolutely no way to enjoy the game with him following you at every hole. I thought I would share my story with anyone looking to have fun time golfing to avoid Underwood course as much as possible. If you encounter Lester and he hassles you out of boredom or for some ridiculous reason be sure to let Mr. Cooke and/or Kenny know, they need to fix his attitude soon or give him real job before he runs others off. For the record, if your looking to have a fun golf environment here are some great courses with a friendly and helpful staff including the course marshals: Lonestar, Painted Dunes, and Butterfield. Good luck!

Nice staff at the pro shop but the german waitress was probably the worst if seen since Dicks in San Antonio. She was very upset that most of our group asked questions about the menu items or wanted their meals slightly different than the standard fare (wheat instead of white, no cheese on club(still got cheese), no fries (still got fries), etc.). She also told us at 1030 that it would be very difficult to order breakfast because it would require extra work on the cooks due to some of our party already ordering lunch items. The other waitress was personable and accommodating. Would definitely come back for golfing but ill bring more own food next time.

Very disappointed in the condition of the course. Played on the Sunset course and it is very sad when you hit straight down the fairway and there is absolutely no grass to hit off. The green are in ok shape and the tee boxes are not too good, but the fairways and surrounding areas are just terrible, defiantly not worth the money or time, when you can pay $5 more at another course in town that is in 100% better condition. I do not think I will be back to waste money there again.

Great if you okay during the week as its empty. Here on a Saturday and its super slow. Slow not because of how busy it is but how poorly ran. Im stuck behind several groups of 5 and scattered doubles. Im a single. No one let you play through or know the meaning of ready golf. No Marshall anywhere. The price is the same as specials at painted dunes without the wait. This is a weekday afternoon course only!!

Sunset course is classic urban course. Very well kept. Tree lined fairways an lots of open space. The only way youd lose a ball on this course is OB, or if you lost sight of it yourself and give up looking. Sunrise course is a desert course. Wide open but with lots of tough rough. Watch out for mesquite thorns when looking for a ball in the rough.

Went here for mothers day brunch, the experience far exceeded my expectations especially since it was self service for the food. The wait staff did a great job keeping beverages filled and plates cleared.

Two different golf courses available. GPS enabled golf carts for ease of scoring and tracking. Golf carts are monitored and restricted closely to fairway and cart pathways.

Well maintained golf course. The Pro shop staff is friendly and professional. The dining room is the opposite. Rude lady behind the bar and the food is way overpriced.

I really enjoy playing at this facility. I just need a few people to play a round with tomorrow morning. Anybody in the community up for it?
