I /want/ to like this place... but my experience was pretty crummy. I bought my tickets to see Brand New & Manchester Orchestra in May and its a show Ive been waiting on for basically 15 years... The crowd was so awful that, perhaps because of my 51" stature, I was literally trampled and security had to pull me out. Ive been short for a long time now, guys... This has never happened. It just reminded me of why I hate all-ages venues, honestly. Im very appreciative that the ONE security person that I saw saw me go down and managed to get people off of me, but I do think this place has lots of room for improvement. Things I liked: -The lights and sound were amazing! -Very spacious over-all. -Multiple bar locations for easy access. Things I didnt like: -Poor crowd control. (Yes, I know you cant do it all... but really. There was pretty much no supervision at all.) -THAT LINE THOUGH. Sorry I cant be three hours early for a show that has doors at 7PM and begins at 8PM... I waited for over an hour to get in and completely missed the opener. -Emergency exit access was really poor and not at all well-lit. I have asthma and after security had pulled me out of the pit area I was very much in the middle of an attack. The crowd was so heinous that no one would let me through to exit and it was so packed that I couldnt even access my inhaler which was in my purse. Security also did not help with this or offer an escort to any kind of medical care. I simply got, "You need to go to the back now." All-in-all I know there are factors outside of the venues control... but man. You wait a decade and a half to see a band play and then spend half their set trying to find some kind of medical assistance or a place to sit down because you cant breathe? Not cool. Im not an idiot and I knew to expect a large and rowdy crowd for Brand New/Manchester Orchestra I just think it was poorly controlled. I want to say Ill be back and give the venue another try... but Im honestly not so sure. Also, can I just say that some of the responses to genuine reviews on the facebook page are absolutely the most unprofessional handling Ive seen on social media in a LONG time? There are literally reviews where the venue responds and essentially tells unhappy customers and reviewers that it is entirely their own fault and to just deal and get over their poor experiences.

Bryan really likes the Bomb Factory. I swear I saw Porno for Pyros there in the early 90s. It was a dark, dirty, nasty building back then and now its a clean, modern, state of the art facility! Its Trees x 1000! Great job Clint! Be proud of your investment, Im sure its paying off big time, or it will soon enough. My only gripes are the concerts where we buy a seat in front of the stage, its not very organized by the staff, I went to see Great White and bought my tickets at the door and was told about an upgrade to a seat, so I purchased two seats for my wife and I. Durning the show we were told we were sitting in someones seat, and they even had paper tickets in hand showing they had our seats, when I asked the guy who checks your tickets and allows you to enter that area what are we suppose to do his response was "sit on their laps". This isnt the only time I had a problem with that section, during Ace Frehley it was not comfortable for me to be in that section, everyone is packed in there so tight its so hard to move around. Then the Lamb of God show, thats my biggest gripe of all, they oversold that show. I paid nearly $90 to get my wife and I in and if they had told me we couldnt see the stage because the place was so packed then I wouldnt have wasted my money. I only went to see Anthrax, I missed 5 out of the 8 songs they played because of the long ass line at the door, we finally get in and cant even see the stage because there was so many people. Only caught 3 songs of the only band I wanted to see. Yeah sure, it my fault right, I could have arrived sooner, but I work until 6 and couldnt get off early. I wish they had just said the place is sold out, because in reality it was. But that being said I will continue to support this venue, I like the place a lot, and its not the only venue where issues arise, I can go on and on about other places, it just part of being a fan, I get it. So, Hats off to Clint for his successful venue and congrats on the one year anniversary. I cant wait for the wgitesnake show, I purchased upper level this time the day they went on sale.

i used to love this venue, but seriously.... they need to learn how to organize lines correctly, i came to the young thug concert tonight, lines were full went all the way to the back of the line like i was told to, waited my turn while others who came cut in front of us repeteadly. a white guy comes to the back of the line to put Xs on peoples hands, not once asks "who here is the age of 21?" only asks "whos under the age of 21", says its to speed up the process up front.. i get to the front, to get my ticket scanned, only to be asked "wheres your X or wrist band?" not once did they let me explain why i had neither, took me out the line..... to be "interrogated" by a black guy asking me and 3 other people why was it that we did not have a bracelet since we were 21... dude was not having it, thought we werw bullshitting, kept telling us that they were trying to control the lines and not having a bracelet or an X made it harder to have the line moving... the whole time we were trying to talk to him and tell him what happened hed say, you need to go to the back of the line and get a bracelet. mind you, the line extended very far away and across the street and curved. he finally gave in and let the two people he was interrogating before me go in while he verified their IDs. me? lmao he doesnt even let me go in, puts his hands on me and tries to shove me back.. kept telling me to go to the end of the line. at the point i was seriously, too upset to even argue. i left with my ticket in my hand. they wontt be getting my services any time soon. learn how to get organized... and stop kissing ass to the wrong people.. a guy directing the line, who im assuming did not want to get his ass whooped by a black guy let him cut in front of all of us and his excuse was "im in a good mood today" lmao

Ive been to the Bomb Factory ("BF") three times now and it has consistently proved itself to be a fun time and a great venue. The venue essentially a warehouse with an appropriately raised stage on one end and mezzanine with seating and private VIP booths. The base level is general admission and is large enough to accommodate a large crowd without sacrificing the view or space in the back, unlike other, smaller venues. There are three bars on the lower level which is great. However, the lines to buy drinks can take too long at times. When I visited for Home Grown Music Festival the lines took an unreasonably long time to get through. This is because the bars are full bars and some people just have to have their old fashioned and pay the credit card tab before going back to the show. My suggestion? Have a line for beer and a line for cash. But even that less than great experience just goes to show why BF is so clutch. Home Grown able to go on because it could move indoors. Several other concerts had to cancel because inclement weather. The fact that BF is indoors yet very large and open spaced make it an excellent alternative to Gexa Energy Pavilion. And the location, right near Deep Ellum, make it ideal for after-party fun. There are other comparable venues in House of Blues and Southside Ballroom, but BF is definitely my favorite among the three. I look forward to seeing more shows there in the future.
