I attended the grand opening of Kingdom about a week ago, featuring DJs Gabriel & Dresden. Not since I moved to Austin from New York City a year ago have I felt so at home at a club, with the vibe, and the great drink prices. Not only are they bringing top notch international DJ talent to Austin, they have incredibly reasonable drink specials like $3 for Fireman 4 or $5 for Hornitos margaritas. Most nights there arent even charging a cover charge!! They had to have put a lot of money into the place with the incredible lighting and cool architectural design, so hopefully they can keep up the free cover and low drink prices for as long as they are open....which I hope is a very very long time.

My friend and I who are of Pakistani and Mexican descent were racially profiled last night and kicked out for no reason. Our white friends were told that they were fine but that we were causing trouble although we were all together at the time. I was shocked and frustrated that only our wristbands which give us entry were cut off with no real explanation. We both paid to be there and the message was clear that people of color are not welcome here. The staff working there needs diversity training or to be replaced because we felt very hurt and unwelcome.

They charge $5 for bottled water (which is all they have) and they refill the bottles with tap water. It was exactly like drinking from my apartments kitchen sink. Disgusting. The drinks are ridiculously expensive any night of the week too. Also coming out of the main entrance after an event I choked on second hand pepper spray from a fight that was going on. Theres a violent fight basically every time we go here. 5 stars for the artists that play here, the music is great. Its a shame well never come to this garbage can of a venue again.

The music was decent but the place in general is horrible. I arrived at 1:50 pm and bought a round of drinks for my party at 1:58 only to be harassed by 3 Kingdom employees at 2:06pm. The place was closing and we needed to finish our drinks. Yes, I am a tourist, I am visiting your town. I dont know what time you close because, you are right, I am a TOURIST!! It is a good business practice to a announce a "last call" or even teach your bartenders not to sell drinks 5 minutes before closing. I do not recommend this place.

Great Staff and crew. In such heated situations that occur in the nightclub life the staff is very good about handling public relations. Ive seen everyone from gabriel & dresden to kaskade. and i have to say this is the most memorable place to watch some phenomenal acts. at the same time its a great place to just grab a beer and here some great Texas Electro. In the young djs eyes this is the coveted spot to play. Everyone from jason jenkins to francis preve has played here. great place.

Walking into Kingdom is like walking onto the set of The Running Man if you replaced Ahhhnold with a teeming mass of sweaty twenty-somethings and a driving bass line. Its dark, smoky (well, fog-machine-y), and LOUD so be sure and pack some earplugs or youll be yelling HUH? at everyone you talk to for the next 3 days. They do manage to bring in some excellent DJs, however, so give it a shot the next time you feel like getting lost in the future (as envisioned by the eighties).

This is a nice, small club! I love the lighting system they have in place. The lounge are off to the wall is very modern! Crazy to see that major acts come through here! This place can get really packed, so buy your tickets online and be there an hour early before the show! Oh, one thing I really like about this place is that they have a water cooler on the outside of the bar, so you dont have to go up to the bar to get a cup of water! Small things make the biggest impacts!

If youre a girl, be wary of going to the free shows (and sometimes even the $5 shows) because there will definitely be creepers, stalkers, and generally weird dudes there. I mean even if youre a dude, its a weird vibe. But the 15 dollar shows on up are almost always good times. Lots of variety of DJs including even ATB, AC Slater, and Branchez more recently. Pretty small venue, but that just means extra amplified bass. :D Anyways yeah, definitely check it out.

Kingdoms a late night kind of place. Once youve been drinking a while and want to really let loose and dance the rest of the night away. Late night bar of choice, especially because it stays open later than many other bars. The thing about Kingdom though, is that unlike other late night bars, this bar doesnt have that skeeze factor a lot of others do. People respect your space for the most part and just dont want the night to end. I can dig that.

I had a blast going here for a show (Vindata) the other day. The venue is a bit small, but it has an amazing atmosphere, fun and courteous bartenders, and a great sound system. Also, the lights are incredible for a venue of this size (it really surprised me how much I enjoyed them). If youve never been, youre really missing out on a gem in Austin. That hole-in-the-wall style will always be a favorite!

Horrible experience. My friend bought a beer, and it he was drinking the same beer after 2am. He was approach by the stuff, and ask him to get rid of it, but my friend told him he was going to finish it really quick, and they grab him by the neck, and kick him out. He ended up outside, and we got robbed by some color people, and security didnt do anything. The Kingdom stuff escalated the situation.

One of the best venues for EDM in Austin. They pull in great talent from all over, but are a bit biased towards house and techno. The sound system is great and the lights are the best in town. The dance floor gets packed quickly, and it does get HOT. Drinks are reasonably priced. For an unpretentious night out thats about music, dancing, and nothing else, Kingdom is perfect.

kingdom is probably my favorite bar ever. it gets really packed late but is pretty dead for the earlier part of the night. but i really just go there to listen to the music and have a beer. the bass is awesome. the ceiling is cool, but it rattles too much with the bass and is kind of distracting from the music. a little expensive but not too crazy. saturdays are the best.

Great club. All prasie, no complaints other than the white kid taking money at the front that accused me of calling his coworker a "gangbanger". He repeated it loudly to garner attention... (coworkers seemed unimpressed) What a shame he couldnt actually listen to what was being said. Other than him, 10/10. Bring back Jeremy Olander.

My favorite club experience Ive ever had! Kingdom offers the kind of vibes that dance music enthusiasts want, not just what ratchet 6th streeters want. The talent brought through here in partnership with RealMusic Events is top notch. Intimate space with great lighting and great sound. I would recommend earplugs!

This club is great The DOORMEN i have gotten to know from my fri & Sat night visets. They work hard to keep the place safe, always greet me with a smile. Very mixed crowd, people causing trouble will be asked to leave. Sometimes the doormen call me Johnny Bravo Lol. Best sound system in Austin. See you Sat.
