I went on a Saturday with a few friends when they were doing BPM. Its pretty dead from 9-11, but as of me posting this, they have happy hour before 11 so getting there around 10-10:30 is probably your best bet. The rest of the night was pretty great. Awesome DJ, great bars that were swamped with awesome bartenders, great design, great sound. Everything about Highland Lounge is as amazing as youd think it would be. Its not a giant club (Im from Dallas where most of the businesses have more land area/size) but its still large enough to have have all manner of fun in.

Had a bottle thrown at my head while on the dance floor. Told the bar and they responded by telling me to come back the next morning? Terrible management and piss poor customer service, but the gays will keep going there so they dont have to treat people any differently than herd cattle.

Great drinks and superb bartenders. Cool music mixes and dance floor. The only downside was the broken glass all over one side of the dance floor... a little hazardous for the patrons dancing around slippery booze and sharp glass. Other than that, cool spot.

The music wasnt very great, and worst of all you have to be 21+ to get in. I will not be retuning, and I recommend that others stay away if you have friends under 21 out of respect for them. -A Disappointed Customer

It was my first time at the Highland on 2/4/17, I must say the music was awesome,drinks were great. Very nice staff.enegetic crowd. I highly recommend this place when ever you are visiting Austin tx.

Awesome! Never a dull night. Their sound system is the best out of the gay bars by far and they take advantage: the floor is always PACKED! The patio, too. This is a must-visit on any visit to 4th.

Great space! Casual, yet upscale. They have several large bars, nice dance floor and an outdoor area. This place is 2 stories! Great music and attractive people. Also open until 4am some nights.

The free tournament of Texas Hold Em on Sunday afternoons is always fun with a bunch a nice easy-going people. The 1$ mamosas are a nice touch too.
