This was our first escape game (we made it with a few minutes to spare), but we had done a lot of online and word of mouth research prior. The Island Escape room was well done, but I was hoping for just a little more atmosphere. There was a variety of game mechanics, but there was a heavy reliance on letter and number combination locks. Also, some of the game mechanics didnt work properly and the GM had to provide the info for the pieces that didnt work. Despite my explicit request at the start for no clues, the GM did provide feedback that guided us (i.e. "you will not need that anymore") and yes, we may have failed without it, but that would have been our own fault. Perhaps it was an effort to make first-timers satisfied. Our GM was extremely pleasant and made the whole experience very fun. Overall, I agree with the reviews that I had seen on this location - it is very well done, ideal for first timers, but it may not be on par with some of the others in the area that offer more (for much more $$ however). I was NOT disappointed, but I want more next time. I would consider trying out one of the other rooms here in the future if I got another discount.

I was in Nashville visiting some friends and we (4 of us) decided to check out this location for an hour of fun. We chose the Hostage Room....blindfolds, handcuffed and all! I will have to say....IT WAS GREAT!! I love solving puzzles and things of that nature. The entire staff was helpful and the room was very well put together. Loved it. What I didnt love....playing the game with 3 strangers that didnt know the meaning of teamwork and decided they could do it by themselves. It left the 4 of us just standing there while the other 3 taking up precious time with the newly found clues. So...my advice...GO....take on one of these rooms. Youll have a blast. Just make sure you either take enough people with you so you dont have to compete with your own team OR male sure you let the other people that are in on your game know that TEAMWORK is a MUST. It wasnt Breakout Games fault that we got stuck with 3 greedy self absorbed people. If I could have spent the entire day going from room to room trying to escape I would have! Im totally hooked. Thank you Breakout Games for a very well thought out and put together room. Definitely will be back!!!

We tried Breakout Nashville for the first time and had a great time! Most of our group had experienced Escape Nashville before so we understood the concept. We played The Kidnapping game which was extremely engaging! Being handcuffed and blind folded made the experience much more intense. The Game Master was very helpful and interactive throughout game. The only negative experience our group collectively had was the encounter with the greeter at the front. She barely acknowledge guests! We went up to her to ask to "check-in" and she didnt have a clue of reservations nor did she seem to care. At that point anyone could have walked in, played a game, and didnt even have to pay! Our group waited about 30 minutes in the lobby along with other groups, and the entire time she played on her phone, chewed her gum obnoxiously, and literally twirled her hair with her finger! She didnt even bother to offer assistance to new guests arriving. I was shocked to be witnessing a literal stereotype. Overall, the game itself is well worth the time and money. Its a great activity to do to meet new people or form stronger bonds with current friends.

We had so much fun playing that we went back again the next week! I first played the Museum Heist with my coworkers last week. The game master (I wish I could remember his name) was so friendly and fun, I really felt like it was real. The clues are really obscure and challenging, which is awesome. You truly have to work together as a team and utilize each persons skills. We made it out before the time was up, and it was an awesome feeling. I just played the Hostage room today, and it was a great experience as well. It was just my boyfriend and I, and we were able to escape with plenty of time to spare. Harley was our game master this time, and she was so bubbly and upbeat. She was very helpful in steering us in the right direction and gave us some really great clues. I truly enjoyed both experiences, and will definitely be going back to try the other rooms. I highly recommend going. The building is super clean, the staff is really nice, and the rooms are very well designed and well maintained.

This was the first place I ever went to to play an "Escape Game." They do a good job with the space they have and they make the game enjoyable. After playing at a few other places, I know there are higher quality places, however there are also some that are much lower quality. Pros: puzzle variety, storyline, complexity of some of the puzzles, Friendly staff, cleanliness of the facilities. Cons: The room felt cramped with 8 people (Especially when playing with strangers who dont understand working as a team and like to no share the clues... "Same team man!!"); Compared to some of the other "Escape Games" the built quality was only average. The hidden areas were minimal.

Great beginning escape! I went recently with family celebrating a birthday and had a good time. The puzzles were challenging and theres a feeling of satisfaction when you complete a task. My only complaint has to do with the cosmetic makeup of the room. I felt like I was attending VBS as a kid. Ive been in a few other escape games where I was completely submerged into the atmosphere and began to believe I was in the location they wanted you to feel like you were in. Here I cant say the same. All around great time though and would recommend for any who dont care about detail too much.

I was randomly walking by and noticed this place. Me and my girlfriend were visiting Nashville for the weekend. We wanted to try one of these games and did one in Nashville. It was not good so we were hesitant to do it again. But this was a whole other experience. It was great from the moment we walked in the clerk upfront was friendly and helped walk us through it. When we got in the game the guide Devin was fantastic and never let us get to stick but was not too intrusive. We escaped with 40 seconds left and it was exhilarating. 5 stars and I would recommend to anyone.

Great fun with a private group of 16 in two rooms. We got out of both and really enjoyed both rooms. Breakout does a good job of balancing the puzzles with the theme and making it fun and entertaining. My only complaint is the cost is a bit high for 1 hour of entertainment. I think $15 per person is a better price point for me. I would come a lot more often if it were more affordable, but this is a general issue with all escape rooms not just Breakout. I would do them all and treat them more like going to the movie if they were less pricey.

We booked this for my sons 13th birthday. They were so disappointed. The game master gave them repeated incorrect information that caused them to wasted 20 to 30 minutes. She apologized, but too late. They were very frustrated! Honestly, they were really excited, then frustrated specifically by the lack of helpful input by the same master. The last 10 minutes they all just gave up and started randomly guessing at codes. I would try Escape company. I have heard they give better clues that allow you to solve the room.
