While this is one of the better tracks in the Charlotte area...I have repeatedly had HORRIBLE service experiences. Asst. Pro Paul or Pavel whatever he calls himself has no freaking clue as to what Customer Service is. I called the night before to make a tee time to play 9 holes with my 13 year old son. I advised that I would be redeeming a 9 hole rain-check for each of us. He gave us an 11:20 tee time for the next day. We arrive to play and when I check in at the pro-shop to redeem my (2) 9 hole rain checks…he states that I cannot pay for only 9 holes before 1:00pm and asks me to pay the entire 18 hole fee for me and my son. WHAT A PRICK! Needless to say that I was sad to tell my son we would not be playing at Springfield…we drove straight over to Olde Sycamore GC in Mint Hill. We were treated well and enjoyed our round together. I will not be back to Springfield until he retires, quits or gets fired.

Went there for 4:00 tee time on a Saturday, rained out on 10th, returned for rain checks and Paul running the proshop gave terrible service and locked all players out of proshop. Evidently proshop and concessions close early on Saturdays. He was reluctant to issue rain check and finally issued them for dollar value in lieu of 9 holes. Very disappointed by the way this issue was handled. Will not play there again after redeeming my rain check. For reference: Nueman teetime 4:00 6/11.

To find a golf club that offers an off the beaten path place to play is a welcome thing in Charlotte. There are plenty of places to play. Springfield is the one we like for getting distance. The course is challenging and the whole area down in Fort Mill is close enough to get to quick and makes sense because it is consistent. The management seems to be solid and Springfield is not going anywhere soon. Thumbs up to Springfield.

Challenging course, always in excellent condition. Not the best walking course due to green-to-tee spacing and real estate. Holes 7, 8 and 9 is the toughest 3-hole stretch in Charlotte outside of of the Green Mile at Quail. Pavel is only mad because when you see him, hes not playing. And dont let the door slam. Spendy rates, but you get what you pay for.

Couldnt be any more disappointed with this place. While I was aware the green had been aerated this week, I didnt expect the ridiculous amount of white sand left on top. They give a discount, yes, but frankly this place was unplayable today and had no business being open. I will never return, nor recommend this place.

Ive played this course four times and it is always in fantastic shape. They have a Ranger driving around the course to help speed up pace of play and the facilities are kept clean. If youre looking for a golf course near to play I strongly suggest coming here.

There is good place, beautiful golf course. It is a course that must be strategically targeted with adventure and challenge. Excellent green and friendly staff. Everyone is a fantastic golf course. I strongly recommend.

Greens were perfect but incredibly fast. Fairways were horrible as there was no grass. Friendly staff but I was pretty disappointed in the course. A course charging that much should put some water to the course.

First of all, Springfield is a very nice golf course. The staff is pleasant. However, it is full of Charlotte golfers so if youre not used to playing 5-6 hour rounds, this course is not for you.
