What can you say about the gem of historic downtown Beaufort. I enjoyed visiting the park before it was redone, now i just wonder when a giant sinkhole will open up under it;after all the issues the city had with the contractors. The park hosts all the major events that Beaufort has, concerts, festivals, movie nights, and the ever famous Water Festival. They did a great job reinstalling all the historic plaques ,that offer great information on the important history Beuafort has. A must read to get a feel for the area. This is the epicenter of tourism for the city, so it caters more to the tourist and the area restaurants reflect this. The city and the downtown business owners did consider this and have been gracious enough to offer to recognizethe locals with "First Fridays" ; a time when locales are encouraged to come downtown and sample what is offered.

A quick visit to Beaufort and we always have to walk out to the park. Plenty of restaurants have outside seating to have a bit or something refreshing and enjoy the view. You have a beautiful view of the bay and if youre lucky you might get to see the bridge open for a tall mast on a sailboat. There are swings to relax in and also covered area to cool off.

A wonderful park wit a variety of spaces. All along the river front in Historic Beaufort. My favorites are the many trellis-swings, and the sunset views. Easy access to the many shops and restaurants on Bay Street. Stick around long enough and you will see the Woods Memorial Bridge in action. Its a swing bridge between Beaufort and Ladys Island.

AWESOME!! I love it, its very gorgeous! And me and my brothers like going to Yo Yos the ice cream place, I loved Super Man flavor and I liked playing at the playground and getting exercise and my parents love swinging on the swings and talking and it is sooo pretty at sunset! LOVE IT! I highly recommend it!

The scenery would be enough, but the shops and places to eat add to the enjoyment. I was stationed in Beaufort from 1979 to 1982, and the waterfront wasnt anything to write home about then, but today its a different story. Congrats to all those who helped make this possible.You did an outstanding job.

An absolutely beautiful park to visit. Whether your going their to play some football or ultimate frisbee or you just want to sit on the swings and take in the views, this is the place to do it. They hold some awesome concerts and other large events in the park and it is all right next to Bay St.

Beautiful park right on the water. There are swings for adults and a playground for the children. Also, there are many good restaurants right there at the park. We have also been at this park during the water festival and Little Big Town was playing.

This is the heart of Beaufort. There is nothing closer to Heaven than sitting on one of the swings at twilight watching the bridge light up and the boats drift past. It is impossible to do it justice, so just go see for yourself.

While it went through a rough makeover about 5 years ago theyve done a pretty good job with the park proper. Kids playground and restrooms continue to be a problem, but other than that its a nice park with a beautiful view.
