This tennis park has new management - and while I liked the old management and they were not "bad", I will say that this new management is FANTASTIC. First, the front desk people, Emily, Veronica and Sandy are wonderful. They ALWAYS answer the phone and its a rare occasion to get voice mail during their business hours. There are professional, accurate, and efficient - never a problem, and now they even send emails to confirm court reservations so that it runs seamlessly. Andreas who helps tidy up the courts and closes them down at night is also a fabulous guy - very patient and always lets you play out your game. The teaching pros are also wonderful - I couldnt say one bad word about any of them - and that says a lot because there could be a lot of egos here. Theres none. I wish I could highlight a few but Id be leaving so many out - because they are ALL solid, great, customer service oriented professionals. The prices are very reasonable - its something like $60 for an hour lesson, and theyll even let you split lessons. They also have really cheap 90 minute tennis clinics for $20 - I mean - how much better could that get? The guy in charge of the racket, including sales and stringing them, Chet, is also awesome. I know I must be starting to sound like a broken record on the "theyre all great" message - but they are. Chet has been incredibly patient with me in getting me into the right racket. Im on my 3rd racket in 6 weeks - and Howie, the manager did me the kindest gesture on my newest racket tonight. I wont say what it was so that I dont start a bunch of people going to him for generosity - because Ive probably earned some being such a regular/good customer, but lets just say Im a really happy customer. Ive had some really bad tennis elbow over the season too - and these guys genuinely cared and worked hard to get me better. The locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean. They even have good vending machines. The ice water is always stocked on the courts with drink cups (NEVER out). The courts themselves and the surroundings are wonderful. Even the nets are always at the correct height, never sagging, no holes or issues. But I could probably play on cracked courts in Harlem and still enjoy myself with this team. Perhaps the best part about the club is the prices. Id recommend purchasing a half or full year membership though - a membership will save you some time with your reservations and leave shorter lines at front desk for those who really need something. And I think its important to financially support such a great situation to keep it going too. It was a tuft call to write this overly positive review because Winter is coming and so are the snow-birds, so I dont want everyone who plays tennis flooding out to these courts, taking up all the availability, and leaving me in regret for spreading the good word - but hey - theyve earned it. Compared to private courts or clubs, these courts are just as good (if not better), with a definite better staff, and all is incredible at Flamingo Park Tennis Center. See you on the courts!

It was so beautiful out tonight I almost want to go back here. But then of course some weirdo fixates on me and started stalking about me. So as far as going there again... Nah! The first year it opened nobody bothers me nobody was there. Then all the lo lives came in and started pulling weird s*** kicking the ball in front of me waiting for me to jog by so they could get a close look at me - annoying!! And the last time I was there the guy that followed me behind the bleachers, had to turn around and go up front, he followed me there and then I made another turn and he followed me again. I was f****** done. Back to my cave~ @Flamingo Park Track

Flamingo Park has grown into the best recreation area in all of Miami Beach. There is a state of the art tennis center (which will set you back about $10 pp for one hour of clay court tennis), Swimming Pool (free for locals), basketball courts, baseball field and much more. Below are some of the other facilities. Parking is pretty generous, although at peak times it can fill quite quickly. Beautiful park for people of all ages! There is a great track and field that I use to workout. The bathrooms there are also well kept (especially for being in South Beach) and water fountains usually have cold water.

Great place to lounge around, or be active. They have some pull up bars and basketball courts that are always popular. Their badminton courts are great too and not many people take advantage of them.
