Ive only been for drinks and bar snacks, but this place is quickly climbing my list of favorite spots south of Washington Ave. Its a nice and big space with tons of seating. This is a good spot to bring a big group for drinks. Happy Hour features 1/2 off all local beers on tap and a bar bites menu featuring the hot ham-n-cheese with fries for $5: housemade brioche bun, sharp cheddar, house made mortadella. Ive sampled some other eats on the menu and everythings been good so far. I can see this place as being an awesome spot to see a show. Considering that the R5 people are behind this, its no surprise. I havent been to one yet, but the location and price are right so Ill make it over eventually.

My friends and I saw Hijokaiden here. We started off with a couple of drinks and for how packed it was the service was fast. They have a fantastic happy hour ranging from about 6 to 8 PM. They have a great variety of drinks and food (that I did not try).The actual venue space is also small and when full can be hard to see the performers. I recommend getting their earlier if you are small and bring ear plugs (you will need them). This place has a great underground feel and has that slight western feel. Loved it.

Ive been here twice so far for concerts and both were amazing! As for the bar, they have a great selection of mixed drinks as well as seasonal beers from local breweries. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm and the staff is very helpful, coming to your table to take your drink order and bringing your check when your done. My favorite bar in Philly.

Great small bar music venue. Bar in front is normally crowded but lots of seating for a small space. Back room is pretty big and sound isnt too bad for the size. Havent had the food in awhile but it has been good in the past. Bar has draft beer, bottles, and cans. You can bring drinks to the back and sometimes they have served beer in the back.

Venue is ok. However, I bought tickets to see a band. The show was cancelled. I called for refund and was told I could not receive a refund because the band was replaced with someone else. WHAT? A very unfair policy to sell a ticket for one band then replace them with someone completely different!

Dont let this little club in South Philly fool you. This small bar/concert venue is a gem. Great drinks and while the menu is not extensive the food is fantastic. If youre headed there for a show, do your self a favor and give yourself a little extra time for a bite to eat. You wont regret it.

Small, intimate venue which is great for seeing live shows. Eaten there a few times and the food was always good. My only issue is the fee on the ATM: $3 is extortionate. Ive seen the same machines with fees for as little as a dollar. Quit fleecing your customers B&S. Not cool.

First time to this bar and musical performance spot. Bar scene was lively and fun, bartenders were friendly. Beer and hard liquor is the way to go, avoid the box wine. Musical venue is standing only, no seats, so be aware of that. Had a great time seeing York Street Hustle.

Nice spot for concerts, I saw Thurston Moores new band here, think Sonic Youth mixed with My Bloody Valentine, literally. Another great venue for R5 shows. Checking out Aloke tonight, Pre-Grouplove that Wikipedia thinks there still broke up.

Great bar with awesome beer selection with many PA favorites. Stage in the back room has a great sound for the size and the entire feel of the back room has a great speak easy vibe. Recommend to catch a show there whether local or touring

Great bar, excellent venue to catch bigger artists in a 150 cap room. Saw Beach Fossils here and it was one of the most memorable shows Ive ever seen, space and band considered.
