The Sherman Theater is always pulling in great shows seemingly on a weekly basis. Not all the names are big, but the shows are always outstanding and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Where else can you meet the president of such a venue as he works alongside the staff? Security makes sure the shows are safe and are always familiar with my friends and I when we go- big shout out to Jimmy for running a great security team! Never had a bad seat in the venue either, and Ive bought tickets up front and in the very back and have always enjoyed the sound and view from the seats. After years of going to shows I became a member of the theater and now I get some great benefits! I highly recommend you come see a show here, no matter what the genre or the artist playing. Sure to be an experience youll never forget.

Just saw Neck Deep here a few days ago. The sound was great and Staff were extremely friendly. My problem is that the doors opened at 7:00 and the show was set to start at 7:30, however I did not get inside due to the line until almost 8:00 only to find I had missed the first band! I was lucky to even make it inside before Neck Deep played because they were almost done setting up by the time I got inside. Once I was inside I was extremely disappointed to find the theater still had all the seats all the way to the front in place!? There was no assigned seats but a General Admission ticket means that there will be room enough for people to stand in the front and be close. Not at all the case with this place.

If you are up for filthy restrooms (Prior to showtime, it was nasty) Flying rodents (bats), which leaves one to believe they possibly have crawling ones as well (rats, roaches), muscle head security & ushers who yell across the theatre to concert goers (while artist is performing), no battery in smoke detector, then head on down. The vibes from the place & the muscleheads made it so uncomfortable, even the artist commented on how: "it might be possible to enjoy the dancing, if they lighten up here" Drove along way to see a great artist, only to be put in harms way. If ran properly, cleaned restrooms & got rid of the rodents, owner & muscleheads removed, it might not be a bad place to see a show.

The Sherman Theater is AWSOME . It is a place where local talent, as well as National Headliners, get a chance to entertain their fans in a warm friendly environment. More importantly the Theater offers hope and opportunity to the community it serves. The Sherman theater worked with the Red Cross with their blood drive and boy was that a success! The annual Spotlight Parade is, and has been the talk of the town since it started a couple of years ago. Finally, the neighborhood kids. The neighborhood kids keep the theater alive and vibrant with their participation in the many many programs the theater offers. Its a great Theater with a great staff. Jimmy

Fine community theater in the heart of Stroudsburg! When not being used for the various concerts and events, it is used by community organizations including local schools at a tremendous discount. The owner truly believes the theater can play an important role in the community. It has taken a long time for the theater to reach its current state of decor. Along the way it was still used for events, but with limited seating depending on what was being worked on at the time. Small venue, no bad seats in the house and ticket prices are very reasonable. If youre in town and need some entertainment, give it a look.

Ive had wonderful experiences at sherman. They have recently undergone a few renovations of bathrooms, and are in the process of renovating all the bathrooms, lobby, and the actual venue where you watch the concerts. Their art gallery next door displays different local artists work and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is there is no designated sherman parking, so you have to park on main street, which there is usually enough parking for all. After the concerts I usually walk to local bars and restaurants. Its always a fun time.

How can you sell out a show and not provide air conditioning in July? It was so hot in there that my husband and I were actually dripping with sweat, along with everyone else in attendance. There was a person next to me that had a washcloth with him. I asked him how did he think to bring a washcloth and he said he had been there before and that it gets unbearably hot. I couldnt imagine even the thought of drinking alcohol with the heat. I will never go back there again unless I want to pass out from heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

The Sherman is a fine example of a rescued & revitalized movie theater of the kind that once graced every large and small town in America. What you get here is a great venue for musical performances in an intimate setting. Youll never see a mega-star perform here, but the list of excellent artists who play these venues is endless. Parking is easy to find on several nearby side streets and there are several restuarant/bars near the Sherman for before and after the show food and drink.

Im reading all these things and i find it all wrong. The appeal was like an old theater. I like older looking stuff so thats why the appeal is excellent. I didnt used the facilities so i couldnt do that so i put very good. The service was amazing they opened the doors and we were in within about 48 seconds. I really enjoyed my experience there and im going again tomorrow and Wednesday. See you there hopefully.

I give you a FAT 0 , Overbooked, HOT, no way in and out of the audience not one aisle open in case of emergency. Someone passed out, dont waste your time in this small venue who doesnt know how to count how many people are in the venue. You could not get to the bathroom or get a bottle of water it was that crowded! PS GOVT MULE WAS GREAT. Poor management at the theater was the problem!!

Great venue. They have some awesome shows and great staff. Only complaint I have is that when my band was playing u paid for a Jack and Coke. I got $1 back in change after I gave a $20. The highest drink I have ever paid for and I know for a fact it wasnt $19 for a small little thing. Other than that its a great place. Just be careful with the female bartender ripping you off

Saw Vicious, Neck Deep, Sleeping With Sirens, Cedar Green, and Versus at the Sherman Theatre. Very exciting time!!!!! For a music venue in NEPA it brought me a lot of ambience, it didnt feel like a dangerous environment filled with obnoxious security/staff and it was the opposite of crowded. Would love to go see a concert here again!!!

Yeah its a cheap theater, that was restored after the first fire, too my experience this place suck!!! for local bands they charge way to much to play, the sound guy acts like he knows what hes doing, but the sound comesout terrible, im sensing an old tech being used underbudget and is in need of renovation :(
