Who needs the Cocoaplex? Is the best way to start this review. But, before I can even get to the decor and atmosphere, let me comment on the pricing. Pricing is reasonable and is how it should be for customers. It provides discounts to college students, children, military, and seniors, which in part is its largest demographic during the week. $7 for those in these categories and $9 for everyone else. I would choose Flagship for this reason alone as compared to the Cocoaplex which charges $9 for 12 and up and provides no college discount. Have the differences in prices still not convinced you? Lets shift towards the contrast between that mustard yellow Cocoaplex entrance to the sophisticated/modern and open feel of the Flagship. If I was blind folded and walked into the lobby of the Cocoaplex, I would of thought I walked into the LA Lakers stadium instead of a theater. What once had a beautiful self surrounding mural of classic and modern films has been replaced by what some may believe as the Frenchs Mustard take over, and that I am not drawn to come in. Flaghship is like a fancy restaurant beckoning me in; their employees are dressed classically, and cordially invite me to select my movie and seats. I want to see a movie there, not eat a hot dog (French Mustard) and watch Kobe Bryant try to hit a lay up. But maybe that hasnt even convinced you, so let me get to my final reason, and that is the actual cinema experience. Flagship offers large leather exterior chairs! THE CHAIRS RECLINE! No more will you be crunched to the person sitting next you. Youre spaced out: front, back, and side to side, and you no do not have to prop your feet on the back of seats. To top it off you even get to select the seats you want, which eliminates the annoyance of scanning across the audience, as well as the bobbing and weaving through seats. The sound quality is also on point and there is an equal balance of treble, bass, and dialogue so key lines are not missed by an over barring percussion background for build ups. Cocoaplex seating is small, compacted, and too close to the screen. The seats have since been upgraded to new upholstery but still youre angled awkwardly to the screen and have that annoying neck pain of looking up. Flagship is an overall better experience, although this review may be harsh to Cocoaplex it should be pointed out that Flagship accommodates more amenities that make it worth the extra 10 to 20 minute drive. Better quality for price. PICK THE FLAGSHIP!

We saw Patriots Day last Saturday at 12:30. Heres how the experience went: I reserved two tickets, Row D, seats 5 and 6 on the center isle on Friday. Matinee tickets are seven bucks plus $1.50 to reserve. Reserving is very easy online. I dropped my wife at the door, since it was raining, at 12:10, and parked the car in the large lot. It took three minutes to park and walk back to the entrance. The ticket counter is right by the door, and when I went in she was standing there with the tickets in her hand. I asked her how she got them so fast. She said the gentleman asked her if he could help her. She didnt have the confirmation number, and she couldnt remember the name of the movie, but told him it was about the Boston Marathon bombing. He asked if she knew my email address. She told him, and boom, up popped the tickets. We walked across the lobby to refreshments, and purchased our two small popcorns and waters. Yeah, refreshments are expensive, but they have to be. Thats how theatres make their money, folks. If the werent expensive we wouldnt have theatres to go to. The popcorn is excellent, and if our bags were the small, I dont even want to think about eating a medium. The ticket taker directed us to our screen, which was # 1, at the end of the aisle. We entered and easily found our seats, the rows are indicated by a subdued light. The recliners are very comfortable, and there is tremendous spacing between rows. Because of the spacing, you can be in a sold out theatre (as we were at Rogue One) and it doesnt feel crowded. The little irritations which can pop up in a packed conventional theatre are mitigated, or even eliminated, by the Flagship design. The pre-show advertising lasts about 10 minutes, which felt shorter than at other theatres. The picture and sound are state-of-the-art. After the show, my wife went to the Ladies Room (the Mens Room is spotless), and I waited for her in the lobby. This gave me a chance to study the electronically presented promotional posters for coming attractions, the other hanging movie art, the carpeting, the way the refreshment counter, and ticket counter, located across the lobby from each other, add balance to the room, and the great lighting, which adds a sense of...well...peace. The layout is inspired. When she walked up to me as I was looking at the coming attractions, I said, "This place is a palace!" She replied, "Absolutely!"

Natalie, In regards to your concealed carry concerns, there was a gentleman who was opening carrying a pistol into the theater and another customer complained that it made her nervous. I understand your reasoning behind feeling defenseless, but it is a movie theater, not a shooting range. No one needs a firearm in a theater. To help put your mind at ease: There are a lot of well trained military patrons who come in and frequent the establishment, as well as a few Flagship employees who are trained & quick to maintain the professional and family-fun business running there who just want to see everyone safe and comfortable. If there is a problem, a number of people in the establishment are going to act fast and nullify any potential or perceived threats. America may be divided as a nation, but when theres a problem people team up together. Try to trust in that. The gentleman who did bring in a firearm (PA has an open carry law) was politely asked to leave it out in his car and lock it up. He was happy to comply and made the theater a safer place for everyone. Your safety, along with everyone elses is in mind and important. Outside of that, it is one of the best theaters Ive ever been to with its art deco theme and deluxe reclining seats. Please come back and try us out again - comfort and quality entertainment is our top priority there. Best regards.

Flagship Cinema is in an old cinema building, I wasnt around to see what the old one was like. I can say I am very pleased with Flagship. Now I dont have to travel all the way to Hershey or Harrisburg or Lebanon. Its very classy and well designed/decorated. When I first walked in, I expected to pay premium pricing. What I was met with was $9/adults and $7/children. Thats GREAT! Cheap! I was then asked to select my seat. That was weird, but welcomed. It meant I KNEW where I was sitting. I was then delighted by the pretty cheap snacks, with refillable popcorn and sodas on all orders. Great! The self serve area was a bit messy, perhaps someone should go over there more often, but I wont knock a star off for that, since people are sloppy and it isnt Flagships fault. Lastly when I walked in the theater I was surprised. Every single seat (in this auditorium at least) was a fully reclining power leather seat! WHAT?!!! I sat right up front and went full back. It was the most relaxing and awesome movie experience I have ever had. So relaxing that my daughter fell asleep halfway through Penguins of Madagascar. I highly recommend this theater. I hope they stick around for the long run, and I plan to be a customer for life.
