Sad to see what this park has become, what was once a nice little amusement park has turned into a complete dump. One of my favorite rides, the Monster was removed a couple years ago. There is so much empty space where rides once sat and there are a large amount of run down buildings. The midway between the arcade and the picnic area is hardly even open anymore. The run down rides that are there are pretty much the same as in the Boyertown era or older and seem just like cheap carnival rides. The only redeeming quality to this park is the Skyliner, which I could ride over and over. But other than that, its a dive. Either the park needs new management to step in and make a complete overhaul, or they should just close it and build an indoor water park in its place. If your in the area and are looking for a nicer place to spend the day, drive the extra 10 minutes to Delgrossos.

Just went to the Lights on the Lake last night(Dec. 2,2016),AMAZING! Puts Overlys to shame! Best Ive seen since Hartwood Acres quit doing a Christmas display. Would highly recommend. Wasnt too crowded. Cute gift shop,Santa pictures and train display, inexpensive pricing makes it a fun and affordable night out ($12 for car and $8 Santa picture). We didnt purchase any snacks inside, but we did get Cinnamon roasted Almonds and a bag of Kettle corn for $10 at entrance. The kids enjoyed snacking as it took an hour and 20mins to drive there. Overall great experience!!

Ive went to this park since I was a child. It used to be called Boyertown, after the candy factory. I remembered it being nice then but ever since I can remember this park is garbage, its dirty, rides are spaced far apart and they are really old and some are even rusty! This park is more like a permanent carnival....and a poor one at that. You got every teen and old dopehead in Altoona running these rides...scary!!!! It badly needs updated, Id never return, thankfully I now live by a real amusement park...Hershey!!

Poorly maintained amusement park, or should I say permanent carnival? A majority of the park looks like it is a permanent carnival and less of an a true amusement park. The one true gem (also poorly maintained) is Leap-The-Dips, one of the last remaining side friction roller coasters and the oldest surviving roller coaster in the world. That alone warrants a trip here although it does have a separate admission per ride.

Well I felt as though I was in a different world, no offence but the other park goers appeared to be very well, um, like their parents would be cousins. The rides were very unique and fun, but not very safe or secure no seatbealts on most rides. And the pool was too packed to swim in, in fact, it kind of smelled bad. but the waterslides were fun. I have never been to another park like this one.

Its a fun little park with two fun wooden coasters. These arent amazing woodies, but they are fun rides. The park can be very empty at points. The park does offer some unique rides, such as Leap the Dips, the oldest operating coaster in the world, as well as the Sky Diver. The park isnt nice, but it is a nice place to go to get out of the house and have a bit of fun.

Dirty and run down. Go to DelGrossos that is clean and is constantly putting in New rides. The only think Lakemont Park has that keeps it open is Lights on the Lake. Its a shame that one of the oldest parks in the County is the most run down. I really wish someone would invest the money and make Lakemont nice again so that its not known as "the ghetto park".

This place is such a throw-back. All the rides are classics. We went on Friday so it was only $5 to get in and ride most rides. We spent less for an entire day than what it cost to get into the fancy amusement parks. The ride operators were nice HS students. It was a fun time and we didnt even go to the water park.our 15 & 10 y.o. girls loved it too

I dont think Id go back. My fiancé and I are mid twenties and it was more a childs attraction. The roller coaster was meh... The water park was honestly sad. It was pretty dead honestly, so we did at least get to ride everything as soon as we walked up to it. I dont recommend going unless its for children under ten...

Rides are so fun! Workers are literally the BEST people ever. I love it here. Better than delgrossos. Rides are kind of risky to go on but thats why theyre so fun! Skyliner is my favorite ride. Its never busy here, so you can literally go on the rides over and over again. Amazing prices too!

Place has potential to be better if the correct time and money went the right places , the employees are always on the cellphones and rude, looks like somethings mixed in there water from wrong turn , spend the extra 20$ go to delgroso , Hershey or even a carnival !

One of the best July 4 ths of my life.Ridung The Leaps to Dips was awesime. It might be old but has spunk and good air time. I recommend any coaster enthusiast make it a point to ride. They also have the Skyliner which is another good ride. Another old wood coaster.

Weekday rates are reasonable for family fun. Yes it does need some repairs, but you get a lot for what you pay. The coaster, train ride, all kiddie rides including the water park with the triple slide were included, and more. We will gladly go again any time.

Very inexpensive! In 2016 it was $5.95 for admission and all day ride and slide pass, Saturdays and Sundays were free admission and $10.95 ride and slide passes. The park isnt fancy, but its fun enough! Plus it has the worlds oldest operating roller coaster.

This is a nice small park with an attactive price for the ride all day wristband. Leap-the-Dips is the oldest running coaster and as such is still a fun ride, as is the Skyliner rollercoaster. The pools were clean and the slides were fun.

Love the whole idea of a functional park. This is a wonderful piece of ground, but needs to be sold to someone whole will actually make it work. Someone call Hersheypark, or Kennywood and propose this as their next step.

How could anyone that ever leaves their house give this Park a good review! Wow people get out more. As sad as I am to give Lakemont a poor review it is what it is and its a dive is what it is.

We love going here. We have 2 young children and they have a blast every time we go. Everyone is friendly and allow smaller children to ride. Great place to take young kids. Rates are reasonable.

Perfect. Where can you go, ANYWHERE and enjoy some old-school rides, bring your picnic lunch, and end the day in a waterpark for under 10 bucks a person. We loved it. From Virginia.

The Christmas lights were fun to drive through. Definitely a family friendly activity. Recommend you get in line at 45 minutes before it opens if you want to beat the crowds.
