We got to go on military discount day (tickets were only $10) which was good, because I can not justify spending almost $30 a person for this park anymore. While they have added new rides, they have shut down many old favorites and have left the buildings/skeletons there, giving the park the appearance of being large and full of rides, when several are simply abandoned buildings and attractions. Within an hour we had looped the entire park... their newest rides were out of order that day (at least they had signs posted at the entrance stating so however), and it looked like they were out of order indefinitely. About 3 rides that we wanted to go on broke down during our time there (one broke down right after we rode it and another just as everybody had just gotten seated; All the ride worker said was "Get off the ride."). The staff couldnt give us any details on what was wrong or if they would be fixed before the end of the day. For $10 tickets, it was a nice use of 3 hours of our day (because after 3 hours wed ridden all the non-broken rides twice) but I wouldve been frustrated if Id spent any more money. It can be fun, and the kid portion of the park isnt bad (just watch out for the rides being out-of-order) but honestly, I would recommend a different/larger park, just so that when the thrill rides break down, you have other options and arent just stranded for a few hours. I think its worth the extra driving and money to go to Six Flags Over Texas, simply because of the greater variety of rides, getting a better deal for your money, and better maintenance of the park in general.

I wont bother with Frontier City anymore. The employees are and disrespectful right up to and including the supervisors. For example, I ordered one of their overpriced hamburgers and for that price I want whats advertised to be on it. When asked to put the lettuce and tomatoe on the hamburger, the employee did as I requested, but then he and his buddies grumbled just out of earshot, and I quote verbatum, "What do you think this is, the f*****g Hilton". Then I went thru the chain of command to get to a supervisor every ones first question, "Are you a day-tripper or a season pass holder?" Whats the difference, rudeness is rudeness and it shouldnt be tolerated. When I quoted the employee the supervisor said I shouldnt be using language like that, thats when I really blew my top. I didnt say it, the employee said it. Besides the rudeness of the employees, one also has to be careful of the gang fights and pickpocketing and the bullying. But I am just one person, with a family, and since nothing will be done about the behavior, I will just rate this place a poor minus, and go somewhere else. There are too many other suckers out there for them to be worried about me and mine.

I bought 2 tickets (one of my two sons is 2), 3 meal deals and a parking pass online. Once at the park, most people knew how to scan my digital passes. The parking and the entrance passes. I gave four stars because when redeeming the meals, one "supervisor" was incredibly rude to me. I bought three meals and I shared one meal with my toddler, then waited about an hour or so when we needed to eat again and went back to redeem the third meal THAT I PAID FOR and the supervisor asked me "didnt you already redeem a meal today?" with *the look*. I smiled and showed her how many digital receipts I had and she just scanned the phone and walked away. This was at the end of the day and therefore soured my experience a lot. No apology, no correction. Just rudeness and the implication that I was stealing a thirteen dollar personal pizza. Cmon man. I paid over a hundred bucks to bring my family here and just because she saw me earlier in the day and had to scan my phone more than once, Im now a liar and a thief? Of course, the whole incident lasted thirty seconds out of about seven hours, but I wasnt happy about that thirty seconds. Customer service is seriously that important.

Went there Sunday with some friends and spent a great deal of money only to wait in line for our first ride close to 2 hours due to operator malfunctions. The kid on the lasso ride couldnt figure out how to lock or unlock the seats leaving the guys ahead of us stuck on the ride for close to 15 minutes. When they finally got another group of people through it happened again except they didnt even get to ride for close to 15 more minutes. This guy couldnt get his daughter out of the seat and instead of making sure he was a safe distance away, the woman "helping" him yanked the bar up with some force and hit him right in the forehead and immediately blamed him instead of taking the blame for what she did herself. All in all only a quarter of the employees actually were friendly and wanted to be there while the rest obviously couldnt care. There were two or three rides including this one that were broken periodically through the day and others that werent that safe at all. If youre looking for something to spend all your money on and make you wait in 30 minute lines all day then frontier city is for you.

We pass this place on several trips out of state, so we finally decided to give it a try. Tickets are on average $30 per person, plus $8 for parking. We went in on a Saturday (19 Oct 2013) as their late season hours are 12-11pm. Our first impression was this is a nice place with a cool Western theme. But thats about the nicest thing I could say. The rides were more like a traveling carnival than a permanent amusement park. At least 4 of the major adult rides were closed for maintenance, with 2 others for tween ages also closed. I gave up counting after that. A few attractions/rides required an additional fee to ride or use (go carts & Haunted House). The lines were long because of the shortage of open rides, plus on the Wildcat, only half of the car would go up filled for some untold reason. Needless to say, after 4 hours (and $145 lost) in the park with over half that spent in lines, we left and will never return. They had a cool idea, but allowing kids work the rides who dont give a crap and dont enforce rules or know anything is a big mistake. Ill save my money for another trip to Branson, Mo.

The day my husband took my niece, nephew, daughter & grandson evidentially was not a good day for Frontier City. We have gone every year for several years & have never had any issues but this time, in which I was unable to attend, they stated that a large part of the rides were closed & several they waited in line for ended up closing due to maintenance problems. One female employee was very rude to my 4 year old grandson & my daughter. I do not know all the details but under no circumstance should an employee ever raise their voice to a customer. If the customer is being that unreasonable then they should call security. My daughter was just trying to get her son who was trying to get on the ride they was originally told they could enter. Never touch another persons child unless they are in danger, which he was not. He just didnt understand why he waited & then couldnt ride the ride. Like I said before we have always had great experiences with Frontier City. Just a bad day on all parties involved.
