If there was a 6th star, Id highlight it, too! Admittedly, if youre looking to be overwhelmed with an aesthetically pleasing environment, this isnt it. Its more like a country diner inside, but the wine...my goodness it was good. We sampled most of them, and many were very good. However, nothing compared to the White Silk, easily the best wine Ive ever drank (I prefer sweeter wines at this time). The greatest part of our visit was Charlie Virant, the patriarch of the family. If you go, ask to be waited on by Charlie if he is available. Its like sampling wine with your grandfather as he tells you the history of the vineyards. Also, the steak, prime rib, and ribs on Friday and Saturday night were fantastic. There are a lot of wineries in the area who are bigger, advertise more, have spent more on decorations and expensive patios and decks, but no winery will treat you better or offer better wine than Virant. Well be going back soon.

Not exceedingly showy for presentation, informal but worthwhile experience overall. Friendly family staff, reasonable prices, somewhat limited hours. I recommend the house dressing for salads and the chantilly blush for those who prefer sweet wines and red velvet for those whose prefer drier reds.

Found this little gem while out exploring the wineries. There was at least 4 wines I would of purchased and I didnt even taste them all. Very good wine and the staff was very friendly. I cant wait to go back for the wine and try the food.

Good wine however... Dinner was underwhelming. The salad comes straight out of the iceberg lettuce bag and is served on a mini paper bowl. My steak was under seasoned and about 50% of it was inedible. Next time its just wine for me.

The fruit wines are good, but the ladies working were not very friendly. We were the only people there and were not greated when we walked in, or treated very friendly. They need to work on customer service.

Great and friendly winery near Cleveland. This is a Lake Erie winery, I love the setting. Their ice wine named Legacy is one of my favorites. Also good food and hear it is a good place for weddings.

I had the best steak I have had in years. The owner walks around talking to everyone and checking on them. I am not a wine drinker but had two delicious fruit wines.
