Is there any possible way I can give this place *six* stars? Seriously, what an AMAZING company. My boyfriend and I toured this place yesterday while on a weekend trip to St Augustine and had such a good time. The free tastings were delicious but, more than that, this is a company that actually made me want to spend my money. The employees were so passionate about their job and were incredibly knowledgeable about their products. They were by far the most passionate and cheery group of employees I have encountered to date. As if all of that werent enough, they are also super eco-friendly, all about local farmers, and give back to their community. Not to mention, the place looks so cool because they focused heavily on the preservation of the original building and clearly had decorators and designers who knew what they were doing. What the heck else could you want from a distillery?! I will definitely be buying my alcohol from here whenever possible from now on and will recommend it to all of my friends. Thank you for an amazing time! Keep doing your thing.

The best thing about the tour is its free. The town trolley drops you off at the front door and passes by every 20 minutes. You can also drive there and park on site. There is a restaurant on site. Our guide/spirit master reminded me of a younger Willie Nelson in appearance and dementor. You know, he had a world of information to pass on and a dont touch my guitar attitude. I expected to be one of maybe three or four people lined up for the tour but there where 30 to 40. The tasting room was special as the Spirit Master walked us through the proper mixing of a Russian Mule and of course sippings. The antiquated laws of Florida restrict the sale of bottled spirits to two bottles per person per type per year at the distillery. The gift shop had plenty of high quality items to offer. The only bad part of the tour was that their Bourbon was still aging and the small batch Rum was sold out.

This was a really fun thing im glad we did on our last visit. The tour is actually fun...Michael did a great job mixing in facts and history along with good humor. It wasnt too long or involved...just the right amount. The tasting room served up samples of their specialities which they thoroughly explainedand reviewed. You can tell these are knowledgeable folks who have a passion for what they do. Id say their spirits rank far above your normal thought of bourbons and vodkas. Their gin is very unique ... Different than most but still very very upper end. The gift shop is well stocked and we were happy to support them with a pretty substantial haul. Even if youre not a big drinker...its a cool place to visit and the restaurant is one of the best in the area. Stop by and support these guys. Theyre doing good work and doing nice things for their community as well.

Like Ben and Jerrys in VT this Distillary has a local mission which we whole heartedly support. We have purchased the Vodka and Gin and look forward to presenting our friends in VT with a sample of our local FL best. The tour was just right, enough knowledge of the process, tempting our taste buds with the Florida Mule and sampling of the liqueur straight up was a wise decision. I have honed my skills on this drink, but must admit the crushed ice was a lovely touch. So happy to see you invest in the restoration of the building. Great job, lovingly restored to enhance the community. Would love to see you combine great local foods at the farms that support this project. That is what made our trips to Italy and France so memorable the connection of good food and drink with the people that grow and support the farm to table movement.

Definitely a 5 star distillery. I just loved the tour. You start off in a small room to meet and great with the other people. Then you get the tour guide, he was really cool and dressed for the occasion. He showed us some of the local equipment and where most of the ingredients come from. Then he takes you to the next room and you get to watch a movie telling you all about this distillery. After that you get to go into the room where it all comes together. He points out every little thing and you can ask any questions you wish. Then for the best part, you get to the room where you get to taste some of the final brew. It is so good. Then to finish up the tour, you get to the shop where you can pick up some items you may have been waiting for. I highly recommend this place. Hope you have fun.

Whether youre a connoisseur of fine spirits or just looking for a free drink, The Distillery is an awesome stop while in St Augustine. Based on the reviews I was expecting a cool experience, but they surpassed all expectations. The building, an old ice factory has been painstakingly preserved and its been done brilliantly. The tour is more like a job orientation... a job youre excited about starting. They fill you with relevant information while keeping it fun. Theres even a "lesson" on mixology. And did I mention FREE tasting(s)... If nothing more youll appreciate the history and efforts taken to build and refine their craft. However I trust youll be just as thrilled with the experience and certainly the spirits. I particularly enjoyed the bourbon! Well done!

Tours of the distillery are fun, and hosted by a knowledgable staff, and you you get a taste of the product at the end. But being local we go for the restaurant. The menu changes often, and choices for vegan/vegetarians are slim (they used to have a killer house-made veggie burger) but theyll whip something up for you. Dont pass up the house-made fries! Now, on to the bar. The bar! Wow. Im a whiskey fan and the selection is loaded with brands ive never heard of, hear rumors of, brands I never thought Id get to try, as well as all the standards. The distillerys cocktails are, according to my wife, dynamite. Truly a special spot not to miss, wether youre local, or just want to act like it for the weekend.

We stumbled upon this distillery when we were riding the St. Augustine trolley. We wandered in and were immediately greeting and given a drink ticket (under 21 is allowed on the tour, just not allowed to taste the products). The tour took abut 15 minutes to get started, but there was a fun waiting area with a history of the distillery and the process they use. The tour itself was interesting but a little slow, and the tour guide was quick to get upset with anyone that she was worried were "wandering" from the group. However, the taste test at the end was the best part with a two mini drinks made with their vodka and gin. Theres a store at the end of the tour, but no purchase is required.

I went on a tasting tour and it was incredible! Mark was knowledgeable and excited to share the history and distilling process. The tour takes you into a theatre where you watch an informational video about how the St. Augustine Distillery came to be and why its unique. Then you walk onto the production floor and get to see the tanks and all the barrels of booze. The tour wrapped up in the tasting room where Mark showed us all how to make a St. Augustine mule and explained in great detail the components. This is a great local company to support. Retail prices are affordable and reasonable, and they sell lots of other merchandise too. If youre in the area, this is a must do experience.
