From the minute I stepped into The River Room, I knew this was the place I was looking for, it was a perfect fit for my groom & I! There are so many positive things to say about this venue, aside from an amazing location with beautiful views, you also get Melissa to work with who I feel goes above & beyond to help you make your days vision come to life. Living a few hours away from Wilmington, it wasnt easy to plan our wedding day, but the flexibility that The River Room offers and Melissas kind professionalism really helped our planning process. She was always quick to respond any time we had any questions & offered many suggestions to help me create the perfect vision of what I wanted. I couldnt be happier with the way everything looked on our wedding day, including the surprise extra touches we received that we didnt have room for in our budget. The room was beautiful, service was outstanding & Melissa simply rocks! You wont be disappointed if you choose the River Room!

I had my wedding booked here. 3 months after booking and 1 whole year before our planned wedding date the wedding was called off. They gave very little concern and happily sent me a cancellation form where I was informed I could not have my deposit back. They suggested I use the space for a "Happy Wednesday" party. I dont know many people who are able to drop $5000+ just for the heck of it. I unfortunately do need the money to pay bills as I now live alone. They showed no compassion or honorable business practices. They have taken my money for no service or event provided. For that reason and the lack of compassion I would never recommend this venue to anyone.

A beautiful venue for a rehearsal dinner or smaller wedding - the backdrop of the river, with the big windows makes for a lovely room. The venue doesnt need a lot of "prettying up" as it is lovely on its own. We enjoyed working with Melissa and have good memories of our time there. The one thing that would be nice would be a sink in the storage room, so we didnt have to bring in water. Without any kitchen facilities, everything has to be brought in, and theres no way to keep things hot or cold, so it is ideal for a completely catered event. Once you know that, its quite possible to work within those parameters!

The management is very unprofessional and has terrible customer service. They care more about their profits than making customers happy. The force you to use their DJ service if you book the venue. There is major construction going on right outside, ruining the views they advertise. They will make no accommodations or concessions when the venue is not in the same condition on your big day as it was when they advertised it. I would give zero stars if I could.

I would highly recommend the River Room for any event with 40 - 50 people. It is gorgeous and a perfect size for that amount of people. We did decorate, but you really dont have to do much - the ambiance of exposed brick, wood beams and huge river-front windows is just perfect. Staff was friendly and very easy to work with. Morgan, the staff person present, was so helpful and even gave me great pointers on decorating that night.

These guys do an awesome job. As fellow vendor, we enjoy setting up here, as everyone is so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to several setups we have scheduled at the River Room this summer. If you are looking for a great place to have your Wedding or Event, this is a great place, and the atmosphere is great. Love the raw look from the brick walls, and what a view.

A Google search for The River Room in Georgetown, SC, accidentally links to your location in Wilmington, NC (same name, not related). Most people should be able to figure it out but this should be an easy fix. That being said, both River Rooms are excellent and highly recommended.
