If there was a negative chart, the owner would fall into this chart. The property is a beautiful place, though the owner is frightful, overwehming and very ccondescending. I have had the experience of planning a wedding. I was told about the Pick Inn, a beautiful venue for a wedding, which it is. Though, the owner of the venue is less than beautiful to work with on the execution of this wedding. I have planned a wedding before, though, I have never had the restrictions that were imposed with no flexibility than I had at the Pick Inn. I would rather have had it at the state prison; we would have probably had fewer rules than the Pick Inn. We arranged to have the rehearsal at the Pick Inn with dinner to follow on Friday, which we did. We were allowed to come at 2:00 to set up, no exception, and 2:05 the gate opened, even after we requested to come earlier, due to the weather and transporting the wedding décor, etc. Once we arrived, the rules started. We carried in kegs of beer, ice, wine, flowers, table arrangements and much more. Needless to say we were thirsty after a bit, so we tapped a keg. You would have thought we lit a nuclear bomb; the owner was all over us... “I didn’t know there was going to be alcohol at the rehearsal” and so on and so forth. Now you must realize we only had 15 people there helping with the decorating, which only 5 were even trying to drink a beer and one was abc certified. It didn’t stop there; she was lurking around and commenting on everything we did. We transported the bottle water and beer 3 times into 3 different bins, because of one of her rules or another. " The cake stand is too heavy for that table, put the the drinks over there, you can’t cut the flowers here, I don’t want you to put the stems down the drain, (really), no water beads, but sparklers are ok"….she acted like we were 10 years old and were there to trash her place. We are a very well behaved family and have had many functions at our house, with 300 plus people, so we do know the right and wrong ways to do things, but she apparently is in the wrong business for customer service. Yes, she has a beautiful piece of property to hold functions, but she needs to make sure up-front prior to money exchanging hands that everyone knows she is A CONTROL FREAK. I would never recommend this venue for a relaxing or enjoyable wedding plan. She made you walk on egg shells and literally, it became a joke towards the end. We arrived on Saturday, the day of the wedding at 11:00, no earlier, the gates opened at 11:05, with 6 cars and a truck, ready to do the finishing decorations. The bridal party was getting a little nervous, so they poured some beer and were talking around the bar, while we were doing centerpieces, the owner, made a comment that this is not going to be a beer fest and she had never had any one drinking at 11am. She then proceeded to write notes all over the house where the bridal party was getting ready, stating “No excessive drinking, a few toasts are acceptable, etc.” really, come on. Again, she acted like we were fresh out of jail and we were there to take advantage of her. It was supposed to be relaxing and fun, with the two families joining together. We shielded the bride from this horror of a woman, though the groom was well aware of the owners “rudeness” to say it mildly. The wedding was beautiful and we all had a great time, only because we started to just ignore the looks and smile at her condescending remarks, but the woman on the golf cart has got to go. I would not recommend this venue for ANYTHING but a headache. If I were to spend 3K, it wouldn’t be there.

We absolutely loved our wedding at the Pick Inn. We attended a wedding there several years ago and it was so beautiful. When my husband proposed, we immediately knew where we wanted to get married! The location and scenery were very "us"...the new owner, Amanda, is so kind. We look forward to potentially having baby showers or birthday parties there. This place is highly recommended if you want a professional team and a beautiful location!

The Pick Inn is fabulous. We got married here in April, and it was amazing. The surrounding area is breathtaking--pictures dont do it justice. Our out-of-town guests had a blast and got a genuine Tennessee experience. Cant recommend the Pick Inn highly enough.
