I stopped here on a one night stay on my way home from Florida. Charlotte had a lot of options, but I apparently misreadthe map as it was not nearly as close to I--77 as I thought. The lobby was nice and was crowded with people. I thought it was probably a popular site. Upon check in, I was informed that my pack and play was not available. I have stayed at many Marriotts since my daughter was born and this has never been a problem before. I asked for extra blankets to make a bed on the floor. After about half an hour the blankets had not been delivered, so I called the front desk. While on the phone, I also asked for extra towels as we had 3 for our family of 5. The employee who came to the door a few minutes later brought a fitted and a flat sheet. What were we supposed to do with that? My husband asked if he could at least bring a fleece blanket and he returned with a comforter. As for the towels, he brought two floor mats and a hand towel. I did not bother asking to rectify that, we just shared the 3 towels among the 5 of us. The room and hallways have probably not been updated since the late 1970s, however that was the least of my concerns. As a rewards member, I have had many positive experiences with Marriott. This stay was in fact the last night of 10 consecutive nights in various Marriott facilities so I know the brand can be exceptional. My experience here was not the best, but I think it could have been just a rough night. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt.

Great hotel as far as the rooms. They all have balconies which I like A LOT and the room layout and size is designed perfect in my opinion. However some of the staff members have not been the kindest too me and that is the only reason I did not rate it 5 stars. One in particular was a night shift employee and it was a tall middle aged man with dark hair and he was not friendly AT ALL. But I guess there is always one in every bunch. Other staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The only other complaint I have is the fact that I have stayed in this hotel numerous times before and this particular stay I was here for 3 days and on the 4th I booked my room online and all that priceline said was it was a "standard room" which was the same description as stated the day I checked in and all the other days bur for some reason on the 4th the front desk said that i had booked a rm with 2 queen beds and because of a $10-$20 price difference I had to switch rooms?? Which was annoying due to the fact I was already settled in. Over such a minor amount of money considering how much I have spent at this hotel it really surprised me that they were insisting I had to switch even though I made it blatantly obvious that I was annoyed with having to do so! I am still happy with my stay and would definitely recommend to families as it has a nice courtyard area for kids and also traveling guests because it is quiet and peaceful if all you are looking for is a simple nights rest.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very friendly and appeared to try to address my needs. One need they didnt address, though, is why Im giving this hotel a 2 star rating. I had a time sensitive document sent to me by UPS from my bank in Orlando, FL. I filled out the paperwork and put it into the return envelope. The front desk clerk even helped me tape the return address slip to the front of the envelope and told me that UPS would pick up the envelope the next day. One week later I received a call from the bank, telling me that the overnight envelope had not reached them. When I called the hotel, the clerk (a different one) politely told me that the envelope was right there. I was livid that, when UPS didnt come for the envelope, they didnt bother to let me know. Instead I waited a whole 7 days, thinking that the bank had my documents and were processing them. Attention to detail is very important. It was my mistake to believe the front desk clerk that UPS would pick up the envelope the next day. It was my mistake to not call them and check. I had originally given them a 1 start rating, but Ive upped it to 2 since Im to blame here too. You will most likely enjoy your stay at this hotel if youre only looking for good accommodations, but beware if you have to depend on them to do anything important for you.

The rooms were very stuffy and moldy smelling. My allergies bothered me the whole trip. The check in staff was ok. But the house keeping staff needs to work on customer service. I could hear a house keeper across from my room complaining about the guest which was me. Due to the fact that I wasnt ready for her to clean my room. I asked her to give me about ten minutes to get the baby ready so that I could leave the area. If looks could kill, I would have dropped dead. But none the less she made sure I heard her in the room adjacent to mine. None of the ladies seemed like they wanted to do their jobs. I had to specify that yes I wanted new sheets and towels. And yes I NEEDED clean towels. Honestly I cannot see myself staying there another trip. All in all we spent 5 days 4 nights.

I will say that the lobby is nice in the hotel, which is the only nice nice thing I experienced. The room was very musty and stale smelling. The pictures are of the bathroom, which apparently wasnt cleaned. There was someones used bar of soap in the shower and hair in the shower and on the sink. I called the front desk, who offered no help and didnt offer to clean it. They had no other rooms available until the second night. Being forced to stay in a disgusting room and only being offered a very small discount, is ridiculous. I would highly advise against staying in this hotel. Its outdated and very dirty

his hotel is beautiful, loved the look of the lobby and my room. My bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby every night. My only complaint is that they do not have an all-you-can eat or buffet style breakfast. It is a la carte and takes forever to get your food. It is a Starbucks though which is a plus. They also do not have a jacuzzi or a heated pool. The gym is great-2 ellipticals, 3 treadmills, recumbent bike, free weights and a bench. They each have tvs on them too which is nice. Cleaning services seemed great, staff was helpful and overall I had a great stay.

It was fine. Not extravagant but perfectly fine. Clean, well maintained, nice staff. Decor is fine. Safe, quiet. Front desk always available. Small snack/convenience shop in the lobby with snacks and frozen meals and Advil and such. Free WiFi and lots of channels. The bed didnt face the t.v., which was a small inconvenience.

This is a vet good spot to stay when in Charlotte. It is always clean and pleasant. Staff is attentive. The rooms are nice and fairly roomy. The interior courtyard rooms are nice, with nice public sitting areas. It is very conveniently located for us (near Queens University of Charlotte).
