I love this cute little native garden on the UNCA campus. Hundreds of different plants to check out in a natural woodland setting complete with a beautiful stream and everything from trilliums to azaleas. A nice place to stop if you are going to the UNCA farmers market. They also have two plant sales a year, a bunch of different classes, and a gift shop. This garden is free and mostly run by volunteers who are passionate about native plants.

I have not only attended this school, walked the gardens, worked on plant relocation and identification but my wife and I were married here 06/09/2012. This is a beautiful garden and great representation of the local NC flora. Also, there is a giant sycamore tree that seed flew to the moon on Apollo 14.

This place is great for walking, a picnic, or just chilling out. A nice store offers unique garden type items for sale and is the location of public restrooms.... please consider making a donation when you enter to help them keep this great place beautiful and free..

MY favorite place for an afternoon walk. Also, a great place for an elopement ceremony. Ive married more than one couple standing on the large stones in the middle of the stream. FANTASTIC

I love going to this place. They have so many cool flowers and trees. I took my whole family and everyone enjoyed the walk and looking at cool flowers, trees and going in the river bed.

Id say this is a hidden gem, but its not hidden at all. Its a very convenient little green spot with trails, a meadow and a creek. I love the way so many of the plants are labeled.

Not the best for kids but they can at least play in the creek. A volunteer was due when asking about volunteer opportunities and classes. Other than that it was very peaceful.

For an out-of-towner it was great to see the types of flowers and trees native to this area. Peaceful, relatively flat, lots of flowers in bloom in September.

An Oasis in the city. We love learning about the diverse plants and trees that grace the gardens. The old growth trees add to the beauty and lure.

Nice place to take a walk and view the scenery. I like that a lot of the plants and trees were marked with what they actually were.

Would have been beautiful in the spring, but was kind of a bummer in the winter. December was not the right month to go.

Excellent for a romantic walk, or a wade in the stream with the kids. Grab a blanket and a book on a Saturday afternoon.

I enjoy the gardens...just about every time, something different is in bloom. Got some good pics of a squirrel, too.
