My college aged son started getting into fish keeping about 2 years ago when he was in high school. He and I have been to about a half dozens stores withing a 15 mile radius so I have a decent pool to compare.... While the selection at the New Rochelle site may not be as wide as some of the other stores, the staff are very nice. They are helpful and will attempt to order a species if you do not see it. Within a few trips they know your name. We he left for college, I would stop in by myself they would ask how he was - NOTE: same staff working there for the past 2 years. Also decent place for dog stuff; cant really comment on other animal supplies (rabbit, bird etc..). In general Ive found the "fish people" in the pet stores some of the nicer folk.. they tend to be hobbiest ready and willing to share info, this is true of the New Rochelle store.

Very RUDE MANAGER! My friend went to try to get a summer job there and the manager is really rude and inexperienced and much too young to even be considered a manager! The comment below me is quite honest about everything practically! The staff is rude and they always have dead animals! My friend even once found a dead fish! The only staff member who is really friendly and should actually be the manager is John! He is the nicest guy me and my friend have ever seen there! He is definitely meant to be the manager and not assistant manager! He has more professionalism then the actual manager ever will! And John if you ever see this that was my friend who told me to say that about you and I think you'll know who she is.

The female assistant manager yells at her employees, and also talks toi customers agressively. She is knowledgable but just very unprofessional. I been to this store a few times in the past month and she makes it uncomfortable. Unfortunatley I have to go there since it is the closest pet store in New Rochelle.

The staff is kind, knowledgeable and willing to help all customers with proper customer service etiquette. I will definitely be back for more pet supplies. A huge thank you to Anthony and Orlando. I am excited to care for my new Betta. Now all I need is a name... Merci beaucoup.

Conveniently located, helpful staff, and decent selection for a small store. Im just curious what they mean by "overqualified" during a job interview. Wouldnt a company want someone with retail experience that can learn the job and do it well?

Staff is rude! And I have went in to many times, and found dead animals! (one time is to many, but i seen this over 5 times!) I wont walk in ever again!
