Excellent!! I went with a group and we optioned for the VIP, that was worth it due to the long lines. I would agree with some other comments, that Pure Terror could use some more actors. When the actors were around you, it was AWESOME!!! The actors were very good and just their presence made the experience so much better. Most of the time they didnt let up, which is what makes it so fun... So I can imagine that if an actor is occupied scaring the crap out of a group that the following group misses the surprise. I would say if they were able to have every scare station manned at all times they would improve the ratings dramatically. The best part was the clown house, we were being taunted by one clown and then ran head on into another clown with a completely different approach. The two clowns would tag team around every corner, until finally they chased us out into the next scare house... We had to take a break for a bit and recover. Over all Pure Terror created something amazing and I hope they continue assessing their tactics to improve the experience. Judging from the attendance, I do not think money is the main issue for the market, especially if you know you are going to have a good time. I am guessing but maybe more actors demands a higher price tag. I would be happy to pay more if it means more actors, they make the experience for me.

I was drinking some Pure Tea today and the Pure reminded me of Pure Terror. So I figured I would leave a review and I have to say Ive been going to Pure Terror since they opened the scream park in 2010. I have to say year after year they have made it bigger and better each season. Every year it seems to get busier with more people as it should because word of mouth gets around really quickly now a days and Pure Terror has always made me and my family want to come back for more every season. Every year since they open has been great. I do have to say in 2015 they got some type of world record and it was nuts and people were everywhere. That year was still enjoyable but the wait times in line were crazy. But as Pure Terror has always done since they first opened. They changed all the haunted houses in 2016 and redesign all of the lines and security check point and our wait time was under 30 mins to get into the first haunted house and it was packed. This is a great haunted house and we travel to at least 4 to 5 haunted attractions each season from NY,NJ and PA and this is my number 1 choice every year.... Thank you for bring such a high quality haunted screampark to the New York area. We drive over 2 hrs to get to this place and its worth the drive. I cant wait to see what they do thia year.

I had a wonderful time with my dad and my friends last Saturday! I was hooked from the actors that scared people on line (they even kept saying my friends name which was a nice touch!) until the end of the experience which I wont spoil for anyone planning on going this season. The actual houses were great, it was hard to see at certain parts and my pants did get dirty after the crawling portion (that could be because it rained that night) but thats the point of this sort of thing. My only complaint would be the lines. While the houses were well worth the wait, my group did spend more time on line than in the houses. Granted, we didnt get the VIP passes, but waiting so long didnt completely ruin our experience. I had a great time, I got a few good scares and many good laughs afterwards. I definitely recommend and hope to return next year!

TERRIBLE!!! I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! We made arrangement and came all the way from Manhattan with a party of 25 people. WE WERE ALL DISAPPOINTED. We were told we would be taken care of due to the amount of people we brought along but when we got there we were told to wait in line with everyone else. The security guard even got rude and told us to "JUST SEND AN EMAIL!" Maybe he though none of us wouldnt but i sure will. We waited on line for more than 3 hours just to walk through the maze like haunted house that had more statues than were actors and are mostly empty dark areas. Some of the actors were even lazy, complaining to the customers about other customers. UNPROFESSIONAL, A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, AND THEIR WHOLE BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE REVAMP AND REEVALUATED.

We go to a few of these Haunted Houses every year and Pureterror is the overall scariest haunted house we have every gone too. Its in the creepest setting Ive ever seen and the actors and houses are all very well detailed and scary as hell. Well worth the VIP Ticket Price. We read the reviews both good and bad and were so happy that we want to Pureterror. The lines were a little long but I would prefer to be at a place that has lines that people want to be at then go to a place that has no lines. We plan to visit pureterror one more time before the end of the season. But if I could give the place 10 STARS I would..... Best Haunted House Ever.....

I was pretty iffy about going since I read some reviews of this place but I have to honestly say.... This was the best haunted house Ive ever been too!! Opening night was $35 and there wasnt a long line we got there at 7:30pm on the dot! The monsters announced it was my birthday and made the scares even worse! And they made all the guests sing happy birthday for me while on the line to go into the dark house, it was truly a night to remember!! Creepy clowns and ugly monsters like chucky, Freddy & Michael Myers made it surreal! Totally recommend this Haunted House!! They beat all expectations we had of going!.

This place was a joke. There were more statues than actual people!! Some of the houses had maybe three people in there to scare u. I dont know why theres an age limit. A five year old could go through and not be scared. It was a waste of fifty bucks! The line was ridiculous and dont get me started on the walking dead attraction... U would think they would have people dressed as zombies! Well nope! There were guys in masks that has nothing to do with TWD! Whoever told these people theyre the best in NY never been to a haunted attraction before. I dont recommend this place. Theres so many better ones to go to

It was really good for my first time going here but honestly, we paid for the VIP, which was $70, and finished 11 houses in 1 hour....I was looking for a haunted house that was time consuming and much more scarier. It wasnt worth the $70 VIP and not even worth the $45.00 for general admission, it really could of been better. Plus there was only like 3-4 people a house who kept moving while you went more into the house. They get all this money-get more actors. But you will have to go to experience it for yourself. Maybe next year it will be better for those who go, but good luck.
