Do not underestimate what the good folks at Aviator Sports and Event Center can do: we just held our wedding there, and everyone had an absolute blast! I wanted a different kind of wedding, fun, memorable, kid-friendly -- but more low key/less fancy than a typical wedding, because black tie just isnt my style. I had attended nearly all the Riveters games at Aviator and was really impressed with the concessions, the beer selections, the atmosphere, and all the things there are to do. The parking is ample; the staff is friendly and helpful. They were open to our ideas/questions and were able to help us create an event that reflected who we are. We had guests with mobility concerns – but with the elevator and ramps and everyone could get around easily. Downstairs we had ice skating, basketball, an arcade, rock climbing, a sky jump, a flight simulator; along with a lovely bar and amazing buffet meal in a large private party space upstairs. The hospitality coordinator, Jenna Jones, is a dream to work with. She is a super smart, capable, on-point professional who handled with aplomb every single thing thrown her way. Jenna was on top of everything, anticipating problems or snags, answering questions, handling issues. She is an honest, straight forward, kind, always responsive, always considerate and thoughtful, respectful person who worked with us intimately to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. Jennas staff are amazing. All our guests raved about how nice, friendly, and sociable the employees were in every respect, whether it was servers during the cocktail hour upstairs or playing basketball with our guests or taking the kids down to the indoor soccer court to let them play and run around. Whether it was attending to a relative who needed help getting around or rounding up guests so everyone was there for the toast, they handled it nicely. We had our ceremony on the ice, and Jenna was excellent at helping us figure out just how to make it work, where everyone would sit, how the music would go off. We incorporated the scoreboard too which was a total hoot. We had ample time to set up our space the day before so everything was ready to go. Before we committed to Aviator as our venue, we needed to know if they could handle the food. Their concessions are great but this is a different type of thing, so we had questions about whether they could pull it off. We went for two tastings and were absolutely blown away by the quality and variety of what they have to offer. We had vegetarian/non veg options and could accommodate kosher guests; they were even able to get sushi in, along with sparkling cider and champagne for the toast. Everyone loved the food – it was exceptionally good. We got a meal much better than your typical wedding day rubber chicken/steak/fish/veg (make sure to sample the braised ribs and the risotto!). Our dinner was very tasty, filling, and high quality. Everyone asked if wed had an outside caterer come in. Nope! The bar was great. Its so much more than your typical four or five beers; you can get 22 different kinds of beer, including multiple craft beers. To be clear: we did a lot of our event as a do it yourself thing to keep overall costs down, so we kept our décor simple and didnt have a dj or a band, but it didnt matter because the music was awesome too. One of the things I hate about weddings is when the music is so loud it makes you deaf. We were able to use our ipod/laptop and make a playlist, and they had it on at a great volume so that everyone could hear it but nobodys ear drums got blown out. Another thing to keep in mind, the facility was open to the public during our event but we didnt have a single problem. At the end, we walked outside and got lovely shots against a clear blue sky. Ours was a daytime wedding but I could easily see a fancier event working quite well, maybe a winter wedding with ice skating, or low lighting upstairs with string lights making it intimate and luxe. You could also hit the beach for pictures. In short: dont underestimate Aviator!

This is a very large space with great equipment. The price and the make-up policy are really good. The sessions are long and give time to learn the skills. Unfortunately we had a terrible coach (Kim), she was so bad that my daughter and 3 other gymnastics quit the program mid-session. My daughter was never going to be a professional gymnast but she liked using her body and learning new skills. She wasnt that good at some of the skills and would get frustrated when she could not complete them as well as her peers. Her coach was not teaching to all levels and made my daughter feel as though she was not good at gymnastics. The coach told my daughter that if she didnt like it, then she should quit. This was directly after she had become frustrated with a skill. This coach did not seem like she wanted to be there, it was simply her job. I am sad that her lack of knowledge about her influence on these young girls caused my daughter to quit something that she really liked. My daughter had done 4 previous sessions there with other coaches and thought it was difficult but had fun as well. I would not recommend Coach Kim.

Excellent After School Program!!!! Both my kids have been going to Aviator After School and it has been a wonderful experience including the convenience of bus pick up at dismissal from school!!! The kids get to Aviator timely and safely with time first focused on their snack and homework. Each day has different structured activities for the kids - ice skating, sky jump, gymnastics, rock wall, turf, arts and crafts, etc. There is so much to do that my kids dont ever want to leave!!! The program coordinators create special events around the holidays which gives more time for the kids to socialize. The staff are great - warm, welcoming, friendly and always there for the kids to ensure they are getting homework done, listening and ensure the overall safety. This is our 3rd year and we continue to keep coming back!!! If it was not for the afterschool program - my daughter would have never found her interest in ice skating which we do at Aviator as well every week!!! Great place for the families and kids!!

If you ever been or joined any of the Aviator programs you know that they have the most disorganized and most terribly run programs and leagues anywhere. I have personally participated in their soccer league, our team has been playing for over 7 years and during that tie we had 8 or 10 different league manager. League managers change in the middle of the season, the new ones change the rules as they want to, referees have no clue what is going on. Teams change their players for the playoff, literally we played a team that brought a brand new team for the playoffs and manager and referee said, "we dont know so they can play", then we had a rule dispute, manager said "iw ill call supervisor", which supervisor, was he calling Mr. Blatter, because he is in charge of soccer in Aviator. It is very upsetting, as we all go there to enjoy soccer. And I am not even mentioning them selling the boards to install the nets around the fields where you can kill yourself!!!! DO NOT PARTICIPATE. TERRIBLY RUN PLACE!
