It is apparent that caring about the social and emotional well-being of children is not a concern for the owners of NYPAC. My six year old daughter was targeted and then removed from this dance school, all because of the inability of the owners to take responsibility and recognition of their unprofessional business practices. My wife and I (along with several other parents) witnessed one of the owners yelling at another parent, and then interrupted our daughter’s dance class to remove her two children. After the altercation, all the parents were discussing the unprofessional actions that just took place, for some unknown reason, my wife and I were singled out and later contacted and questioned regarding our comments. The owners didn’t like our candor or honesty, and rather than resolve these issues, the ugliness was thwarted upon our six year old daughter. When this behavior was pointed out to them as unacceptable, we were told that our presence at the studio was no longer welcome. It is obvious to me that the owners of NYPAC are in it only for the money and not the love of children or dance. Having already taken money from us, they would rather severe ties, than accept the truth when being called out for behaving erratic, rude and unprofessional. It is my daughter that loses out the most though, how do you tell a six year old child that she can no longer attend dance when she did nothing wrong? This letter is important, so others can be made aware of the poor business practices of NYPAC. Businesses that work with children should not be run by individuals who behave like children. To add insult to injury, after speaking with one of the owners and having been made aware of our removal from the school, later that evening one of the owner’s fathers called our home to reiterate the banishment. They claim to be there for the children, but this is the furthest thing from the truth. Their policy is one of “respect and politeness” but we didn’t experience either of these traits. From the false advertisement of a dance class, the intimidation of my child, to the phone call by “Daddy,” this performing arts company is performing something, but it isn’t the arts. So when deciding on a dance school, research other schools in the area, ones that show “respect and politeness” to your child, you, and the love of dance.

We are NY PAC!! The New York Performing Arts Center is a family oriented studio and encourages all students to dream, believe, imagine, and achieve their goals. All of the teachers are highly qualified and bring a positive engergy and encourage growth for their students. The co-owners, Miss Cyara and Miss Jackie, are wonderful role models for these young upcoming dancers to look up to. Last weekend NY PAC brought 6 dances to a regional dance competition in New Jersey. All 6 of the dances recieved top overall scores, as well as 4 first place trophies, and high gold! It was a huge accomplishment for the studios first competition- all the girls have worked so hard and I am so proud of everyone, you deserved it! If you are interested in getting your child, niece/nephew, or cousin in to dance then NY PAC is the dance studio for you! They offer a variety of classes with excellent teachers who want the best for their students. The quality of dance training and personal attention each student recieves is what makes NY PAC truely unique. By being a part of the NY PAC family you wont only grow as a dancer, but also as a person! I <3 NY PAC

This is one of the most unprofessional uncaring pathetic establishments I have ever experienced. They dont care about the kids. Its ALL about the money!!!! This place has the nerve after we sign up to try to force my child to take 3 classes when it is impossible for her to do this. They come up with this new rule that if u are a kickline dancer u have to take 2 additional classes or u are out!!! Never mind whats best for the child!! They just want the money!! As it is is my daughter was one of the best kickline class dancers there and taking a third class would not have made a difference. I have never seen a business force u to spend more money. This is unacceptable!! And the attitudes of the staff there is sickening. Like I said its all about the money not whats best for the child. Goodbye nypac. We r taking our business elsewhere.

We love NYPAC! My daughter has been dancing since she was 3 and we have tried several studios. Most studios have an emphasis on competitions where we have experienced alot of criticism and negativity. Not so wth NYPAC. This studio is performance based. My daughter has danced at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and in the Nutcracker as well as recitals. It is true exercise and learning in a very positive way. The teachers are young and fun. The studio has been very successful since it opened 2 years ago and the owners are already expanding, opening a larger studio in the town center. My 14 year old loves it and so do I!

did not allow my 4 year old daughter to participate at the end of the year dance recital over a disagreement about a lost dance shoe. My husband even asked the owners father to please allow our daughter to partipate, please dont take the disagreement out on our daughter, and they said no!!!!!!
