We originally heard about HVGC as a possible wedding venue through family friends. It is a beautiful venue - although it is a golf course, it isnt too pretentious or overdone. There were a number of staffing changes during the past year, but in the end, it worked out better than we could have imagined! Truthfully, if we were rating our experience with the first venue manager, it would have been one star. However, the new venue manager (who appears to be staying for the long haul!) is WONDERFUL. Jill is responsive, dedicated, pays attention to detail, and takes good notes. She is friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make your wedding special. Her staff is incredibly attentive and efficient - we had a few guests with dietary restrictions and her staff made sure to accommodate all. She attended our event and personally oversaw that the night went smoothly and that we were taken care of (we had a server specifically assigned to us to make sure we were eating/drinking throughout the night)! You may now use Main Street Catering or their in-house restaurant for catering. Chef Randy at HVGC is awesome and so we used their in-house restaurant services. Our guests were all commenting on how delicious the food was and how generous the portion sizes were. Note that they do not make wedding cakes, but they will let you bring in your own wedding cake (or pie!). We had a fantastic experience with Jill at HVGC and we would recommend her and her staff any day!

If you book a hotdeal through golf now you can get a round with cart for $10/ person. Dont expect this to be a full sized course. Par is 62, about half the holes are under 200 yards and several of them less than 100. It is however a good course to allow a beginner to get the feel of a real course or to practice ones short game. There are a few long holes mixed in.

Very nice pool with helpful and friendly staff. Good burgers and dogs at the grill and nice selection of beer and soda. Lovely spot!
