I believe the GC of Newport is one of New York States hidden treasures. Only 15-20 minutes from the NYS Thruway (exit 31), this G.Cornish designed course is one of my favorites. The course beautiful fits in the side hills of the Mohawk Valley and there is no better for hole variety, beautiful fairways, and conditioning of the large, receptive greens. The wildlife abounds, a great place for seeing a huge variety of birds and hopefully, birdies;) Probably one of the best values in NYS, if not New England, golf. I will get back with some photos, were playing there tomorrow.

Great course. Reasonable prices and a true gem of the Adirondacks. Well maintained with excellent greens and T-boxes. Highly, highly recommend. Love the cat too!
