Took my mom out for a bachelorette party thinking Vegas would be the place to party. Every bar we checked out in the hotels or near the strip, the bartender either blatantly ignored us or the bar area was so packed we couldnt even place an order. Finally, my friend says we should go to Anthonys bar. Not only were the staff super friendly at the Sand Dollar, a woman who worked there came over and congratulated my mom on her getting married and bought us a round. The bar had a very relaxed atmosphere and the drinks were AWESOME. The band wasnt the type of music we typically listen to but it was better to be there than a bar that was chaos and the bartenders didnt care who you were. Would definitely go back to the Sand Dollar.

This is an absolutely fantastic place to listen to music. The book of variety of bands. Mostly rock and roll but sometimes Blues. There is no kitchen and there doesnt seem to be table service. However there is a Vietnamese place next door and an absolutely awesome taco truck that pulls up front at night and you are welcome to bring your food in with you. Mixed drinks seem to be around 7 or $8. Check out their website for coming Acts. Its worth a visit

This place was pretty laid back. It has a bar in the center with pool tables on one side and a stage for entertainment on the other. They have jazz nights and burlesque nights. This is the place you go when you want to have a drink with some friends and talk. Not a dive bar, but nothing fancy. My friends took me out back for an awesome photo op with a huge buddah statue- check that out while youre there!

I enjoyed listening to the Moanin Blacksnakes play the blues while I sipped on a beer. Very diverse crowd. Very much a dive bar that showcases live music and entertainment. I had an issue with bartenders that kept ignoring me when I initially wanted to order a drink. Maybe because it was Saturday night and they were busy. Maybe cos Im not a regular. Who knows?

Wow, what a place! The Sand Dollar was hands down the highlight of my trip. Found this place as a recommendation from my brother in law Nate and I am so glad we went. The drinks are amazing and spot on (try the Moscow Mule) and the staff is incredibly friendly. If it wasnt for dinner reservations we would have stayed and played shuffleboard all night.

LIVE MUSIC. Enough said. But, Ill say more. Looks like a true dive I would have avoided. Step inside and it all changes. Upscale whiskey, bartenders are true mixologists that seem to be masters of their trade with a focus on perfection. They dont just sling drinks and beers. Blues is their focus anf always a friendly crowd that seems warm and inviting

John Taffer did nothing to help this bar out. The bartenders still do not know what drinks are which, the music is absolutely awful. Realistically why would anyone go there when you have real bars, real casinos and places with real food very cheap all around them. I would hope that anyone who reads this avoids that place like the plague.

Simply put, this is the only legitimate live music venue in Las Vegas for those who appreciate quality, character, charm and value. No cover charge, extensive cocktail and beer selections at very reasonable prices and an incredible taco truck. No better place for locals or visitors!

My personal favorite. Great bands all throughout the week. Cutrently closed on Mondays. No gaming to.distract you when your socializing with others. Rotating micro brews, pool tables and a super staff. Currently serving food after 10pm right outside their front door.

Didnt hate it--just kind of not what I was expecting. Showed up after midnight on a Friday. Place was packed--good! Music was "different". Would try it again at a different time. It was originally represented to me as blues bar, but not so this trip.

I love this bar. Ive been there 5 times and every time the band was great. Plus they have a great beer menu and make great cocktails. good shuffleboard table too. Oh, and friendly staff! Im not from Vegas but stop in every time I go. 5 stars for sure!
