Megan Barre

This place usually always has a line- but no worries, it goes fairly quickly. The inside is pretty cool looking- they tried to keep a 50s style while making it modern, Rockabilly like. Almost everytime i go, theres a live band or dj playing, and its packed! The courtyard out back is pretty cool, and they usually have live music there as well. I believe Tuesdays are nickel beer night. The bartenders pour a good drink. Its worth checking out if youre downtown.

Thought this bar was cool with practically unlimited karaoke songs but realize now that this is purely a sausage bar. There is no respect for girls here at all. I got publicly mocked by the KJ who I thought was cool at first and tipped big before plus guy patrons not the bar can 86 girls after the guys insult them. Its ludicrous! Have never been insulted or 86nd from any bar in my entire life! Smh

Scenesters & Hipsters Galore.....cool place to go for beautiful people and bands. As you walk into Beauty Bar, you will notice the vintage decor from a Beauty Salon. On some nights, there will be someone doing nails. Before you get your nails done, go over to the bar and get a martini. El Cortez a great place to stay if you plan on going to Beauty Bar, which can be seen from the hotel.

This place was recommended by other bat tenders on the strips. I had a friend looking for a cool bar to mingle with other ladies. It wasnt my cup or tea. Like others have probably commented, it seemed run down and a bit on the "ghetto" side. I had walked passed this bar around 1000 and it was dead. Around 1230 it was a bit more crowded but judging from the crowd, we didnt stay long.

This bar thinks its funny to make fun/light of domestic violence on their advertising chalk board. "I like my beer like I like my violence; domestic" its appalling. I never much liked the place to begin with but after this I will never visit this establishment. Good job guys. Would you like to make fun of the victims of domestic violence next?

Requested a Mojito.. the bartender made me choose a diffrent drink. Not sure if he didnt know how to make one or was just too lazy. But the vibe in there is really chill. Beside the fact that the bartender didnt make my requested drink all of the bartenders were really good looking lmao the only reason im giving them a 3.

This place sucks. Do not waste your time going to this bar unless you want the "royal" treatment from Richie the power tripping security guy who has a massive inferiority complex. Our night was completely ruined by this a-hole. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, go next door to The Griffin, such a better, chill environment.

Cant understand why both local hotels and police allow this to operate the way they do. Outdoor club area in back alley that just echos excessive bass upwards towards surrounding buildings. Shame on the El Cortez for not caring about their customers as this club shakes all upstairs rooms facing Fremont Street.

Um really messed up tide from security. Would not honor my NY state I.D. My being on the guest list seemed to irk him. I had to sneak in the back fence. In the end the orangutan won, I spoke, he did get to run me out . But at least I chilled with my homies from Helmet for a bit.

Stopped by at 9:00pm tonight, knowing it was early but I just wanted to find out what the music venue was on tap for this evening. Surprised to see a great drink special for the night of a shot and a cold variety of12 oz.. cans of beer. Great deal. Only $6.00. Sweet.

the one time i came here, it was empty although i was digging the 90s rap that the dj was playing..but the only thing that allowed me to stay were the $1 pbr and no cover to get in. the salon seats were kind of cool but otherwise, it disappointed me a bit.

Great club in the Heart of downtown. Great outdoor stage, decent drink prices, Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. My friend Pulsar is now booking shows there so it will be even better. I recommend this place!!!

Stopped in here for Wednesday night karaoke. The bartender, the KJ, and the crowd were all very cool. Would I recommend it to others? Im dragging my best friend here next week, and he doesnt even know it yet.

Dope place to chill nickel beer night in Mondays cover for everyone only 10 bucks hip hop inside and outside a different range of music ....over all super fun if your looking to have fun on a Monday night

Place is horrible, have fruit flies in my drink, alot of them, they checked the bottle and it was full of them, freaking gross. Was $10 for a Makers Mark on the rocks. Expensive for a dive bar.

I was in Vegas for the weekend and it was oddly slow, the staff seemed on edge and somewhat uptight for a Friday night. Very nice place and great drink selection!!

Mostly come here to see bands play but the stage is outdoor which is pretty sick! Always love to come see someone play here. Drinks arent priced that bad either.
