I cant believe this woman! We stopped on the shoulder of Route 66 (weve been making the journey down from Illinois and everyone has been so welcoming and friendly along our journey up until this point) and approached to check out the building. A woman immediately came out (We actually thought she was another tourist leaving, she came out THAT quickly when we pulled out. She was clearly waiting and watching for cars to pull up). She aggressively came up to us RECORDING US ON HER CELL PHONE?! yelling about us paying $5 to park and take a picture. "I didnt pay $600 laying down this gravel to have people stop and take a picture, take one from the street!" Now, if there had been a sign politely asking for donations, or if she had asked politely, perhaps saying, "theres a lot of upkeep if you wouldnt mind giving a donation to take a photo" or something a little less than the verbal arsenal she spewed, we would have certainly obliged. There was absolutely no need to be so inappropriate and aggressive. Youre along Route 66! This woman is clearly unstable. Just avoid this stop. Plenty of welcoming stops where we GLADLY GAVE OUR MONEY!! Such a crazy experience.

We stopped down the road from this place because my son just threw up in our car on the highway. This insane woman and her husband started screaming and honking at us and then came barreling down the road while we were changing our three year old and cleaning off his seat, screaming to get off of her property (which was an access road for a substation, by the way). "Everybodys always got some emergency," she retorted while complaining that we were getting throw up on her lawn. She then started recording us. We quickly got back into our car with all our garbage and left while her husband was yelling from their parking lot. The police had already stopped and asked if we needed assistance prior to this, never telling us we couldnt stop where we were to handle an emergency. These people, who ever they are, upset my kids and showed no empathy or understanding whatsoever. Do NOT patronize this business. They are not good people. Were from Pittsburgh and no one back where we come from would have EVER acted like that.

AVOID THIS PLACE !!!!! I am a photographer. We have travelling along Route 66 taking photos. Everyone so far was most pleasant....UNTIL.... We pulled in the parking lot, got out and started to take photos when we were approached by this hostile woman yelling that we could not take photos until she knew we were going to patronize her business. I explained that we had every intention to go inside her store. However, after the rudeness, we started to leave. She yelled "so you lied to me". I explained, "no, I had every intention on visiting the inside of your business until you came out being a jerk." She stated that I was the one being an ASS. I got in my vehicle and proceeding to leave as she was yelling to get off her property. I tried to back out and she got behind my vehicle with her phone videoing my vehicle. WOW. What an experience. Ruined the whole day.

Stay away from this place. When going on a weekend get away with my wife and some friends, I realized I should have been on interstate 70, instead of 44. I pulled off the exit 242, and found this Indian Harvest Trading Post, and pulled into the parking lot to look at a map on my phone, to see which roads to take to get me in the right direction. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, a man was yelling and taking pictures. I backed up to see what the problem was, and he started yelling at me, and told me to stay out of his parking Lot. I told him I was lost, and again began screaming. I then told him to F!@k off, and floored my truck, and spun off. DO NOT EVER GO THERE. They are the rudest people I have ever encountered.

I stopped on the shoulder of Route 66 at this business, and the owner approached my vehicle and threatened me. I was not even on his property. I was stopped on the public right-of-way. He was very angry and hostile! He then said he was going to make me leave as he went back to his building. I was clearly threatened and I left because I felt my personal safety (and perhaps life) was in danger. This happened in the fall of 2016. I highly recommend AVOIDING this business at all costs!

Charged a $2 entry fee per person to see what was for sale. I should have turned away then. The shop was filled with cheap items that would break if you looked too hard. A terrible gimmick and a waste of time. I regret my decision to stop and wish I had seen the negative reviews before stopping.

Really cool place with lots of awesome stuff inside. There is an entry fee but it is deducted from the cost of any purchases.
