I want to be completely fair in my review here, so I will start by sharing the "bad" per say. The theater is small, & doesnt have surround sound. Seriously, that doesnt matter though. It is REAL cheap, & in a time where money is so tight. I am thankful to have a place like this, otherwise Id almost never go out. Whats even better is they dont even try to gouge you on candy. Usually when I go to theaters I try to split candy with who Im with. My last trip I decided to "splurge" ... 2 boxes of candy ($1.75 ea) & 2 tickets ($1 ea). So for a grand total of $5.50 I had a nice outing with my daughter. Thats less than the cost of just one ticket elsewhere! I usually go to early shows so maybe I am catching the workers before they have a chance to get irritated with some of the rude customers, but they employees have always been really nice to me. One thing I have to say is as was stated before, just keep in mind the kind of experience it offers & try to relax. People who go there often seem to do so they dont have to worry about being noisy ... for me thats a big pet peeve. But again I try to keep in mind tickets we only $1 & try to ignore the people around us & their constant commentary. My only actual concern is cleanliness. That is the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. The floors were sticky at the second showing of the day & the smell ... But to be fair I dont think they could keep the floors clean between shows (at least not without really upping the prices) & the smell might have been some of the people since it was over 100 degrees outside! All things considered I LOVE this place & will return again & again!

Been here w my children many times. It is true its getting older. But, for a dollar u cant beat price. Never had problems w movies being scratched as someone else said, but have been ripped off w red boxes 80% of time w movies not working. In fact for folks that dont know, they did raise prices few years back and actually went back to charging a buck. Last halloween i did the unusal and we went to movie after having early parties. The owner walked up to cash registers and thanked us for coming and gave free popcorn soda any candy to us. He was friendly and so were employees. This is a very friendly family theater. And im very cautious w my kids, but we feel safe here!! Weve even gone for our own fam movie day because of so many family choices and awesome movies. weve watched five in row before back to back w a lunch break. In by noon and out at dark. Kids love it! experience kids will always remember.

I have been going to this theater for longer than I can remember. Yes, as others have said, it is an older theater and the restrooms arent four star. There is a bit of popcorn on the floors and they can get sticky once in a while. But, and lets be real about this people, the show costs a dollar! I can put up with a bit of popcorn and older restrooms to save the other $14 a newer, fancy theater will charge to see a show. There is a review about this theater that says it is a horrible place. Not true, especially for a dollar. I saw a movie there tonight. The theater has upgraded their seats, all new! They have new digital projectors and have upgraded their website. I am not a part of the family that owns the theater, I dont even know them, but I do know a good deal when I see one! Try it out. You will not be disappointed!

Ive been here numerous times and the prices for snacks are great, good popcorn(I bring my own salt though), not to mention $1 to see a movie. The screen isnt the best for obvious reasons, however you get what you pay for. Customer service is also excellent. Employees are always nice and quick to serve. The only bad experiences Ive had with this particular cinema is some of the audience. Most times people bring small children who often cry or yell and theres also people who just cant stay in their seat for 5 minutes constantly getting up. Overall despite some of the fellow audience this is a great place to see a movie. If you dont want to pay outrageous prices and youre on a budget like my family its well worth it to wait until St. Andrews is showing the movie you want to see. Great place. Highly recommend.

A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I read a lot of positive reviews for this place. Its family owned so those where all obviously written by them! The floors are sticky, the restrooms old and dirty, and the woman at the ticket windows was rude. Its location is scarey. There is a apartment complex next to it with many suspicious looking characters walking around the parking lot. The screen was not bright, but dim. They power the projector bulb halfway to save it. The building is rundown looking and smelly. The movies are all scratched. Really, for just a dollar youre still over paying. The County should shut the place down.

the dollar show as my family calls it is the best whats not to love about it good movies for just a dollar .plus who wants to pay $20 just to get in and a another $40 too have a snack and now the fancy theaters offer a recliner for the witch makes the ticket cost even more. i know i don`t need that much luxury for a gosh darn movie. i believe that the St. Andrews cinema is great and there deals don`t end at the ticket booth if you buy a $2 large soda with free refils and what do u think about a large $8 popcorn with free refils. at any other theater a large popcorn is like $15

This little establishment makes it affordable for families on a budget to go see a movie in the theater and actually afford to buy snacks too! If your looking for a fancy theater and really clean bathrooms, floors, etc., look elsewhere. But I can defiately go old school for a cheap movie and a good laugh;). Only complaint is that I want to go see "The Help" and its the only one on their website that doesnt show the show times and I cant seem to find a phone # that a human answers at the theater.

When I was a kid this was a single giant theater They had two different movies a week and you just watched what they had and liked it. A lot of that good feeling was lost when they chopped that same space into 3 theaters. They have more options but those options now run much longer and are on much smaller screens. Which for frequent movie goers means you still run out of movies. The snacks are great with great prices. The facilities are well worn but that is to be expected.

Have loved this theater long. My kids and grandkids love it. I first went a man played the organ so great every time. For families that need to watch their finances as well as a show this allowed us to all have movie family night together. The popcorn is better than any theater Ive ever been to. the workers are nice. This theater is a great part of Americana. If I could Id buy it to keep it going.
