Great experience. Their rums, vodka, and gin tasting samples were smooth and flavorful. Try their Rougaroux rums and Thirteen Pennies rum! Bought a bottle of Sugarshine Rougaroux rum to take home with us. It is 101 proof! Distillery in Thibodeaux is a little hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, but well worth the trip.

These guys have a great tour set up for some crazy-good local liquors. 5 bucks buys you a tasting of 3 types of rum, a rice vodka, a rice gin, and LA1 Whiskey (my personal favorite), plus a cocktail of your choice and a tour of the facility that explains the brewing process.

I first tried one of the early batches of gin and was blown away. I was never really a gin drinker but Oryza gin is now top of my list for social events. Its been exciting to see our local distiller produce such high quality alcohol.
