First of all I would like to say it is a great theater. Comfortable seating. What I would like to see is the theater be modified for an imax. I know it can be done.Take one part of it I would say in the back and have it just for your imax movies. I believe you would bring in a lot more money(people would pay to see it)promise. More then likely you would have people as far as Meridian coming are other places in Mississippi. If you have never experienced an imax movie, it is worth an extra couple of dollars to see it. Please think about it.It would be a great investment for your theater. We have a nice college here, which it probably would stay packed. People middle aged and probably older. Do conceder this improvement to your theather.After all, its already a great place to come to. Sincerely, Amanda and God bless

The movie we went to watch was excellent. The Sound quality and video quality was excellent. The movie theater itself was horrible. Whoever thought of the "do it yourself" butter bar probably still lives in their moms basement or something because this has got to be the worst idea ever. Because of it, the entire place looks like a frat house. Popcorn and paper towels all over the floor. The carpets are an atrocious mess. The bar itself was out of straws, two butter squirters were out of butter, and to top it off, the $7 medium popcorn (about the size of a microwave bag of popcorn, was given to me cold. You would think for $14 for a medium popcorn and large soda, I could at least get hot, or at minimum, warm popcorn. If I ever get the urge to watch a movie while in Hattiesburg again, I will change my mind really quick.

Quietly Confident ASMR

This was the only theatre in town for a while, but then a new theatre came along and the Grand made some changes like offering reclining seats and alcohol. However, with the reclining seats there are now less seats available in the theatre. Now movies are routinely selling out, I went today to get tickets and people were turned away because multiple showings were sold out. There is an option to buy tickets ahead online, but you cant chose your seat. So, you lose the ability to be spontaneous on a weekend night and go to the theatre because its probably sold out. The refreshments are better than southwest theatre at the mall, but the reclining seats arent as big as what the mall offers.

Last two movies I saw at The Grand Hattiesburg (Guardians 2 & Despicable Me 3) it was uncomfortably hot in the theater. During Despicable Me 3 I couldnt stand it anymore so I left the movie to tell staff that it was too hot in there. They apparently never did anything about the a/c problem because we sweat it out for the rest of the movie. I would like to see a movie this weekend that isnt playing at Turtle Creek but Im not risking sweating through another movie well just have to see something else.

Trying to reach this theater by phone to ask a question is IMPOSSIBLE! Call the number listed and it gives you an 888 number - call that number and go through all the voice mail prompts and say the name of the movie and town and it gives you a number for the one in Hattiesburg and offers to connect you -- then that phone says disconnected, call the 888 number. How do you ask about birthday parties, when a movies run will be over, anything??????????????? BAD way to do business!

A fairly nice movie theater that never gets too crowded, it always has the latest movies playing. This is the only movie in the Hattiesburg area, so you dont have much choice in the matter. They generally do a pretty good job of keeping the theaters and the bathrooms clean, but they can get a little messy if you go later in the day. just like any other movie theater in the country, dont go hungry or you will spend a fortune on popcorn and sodas

This theater is located in my city, which is where i live. The staff is super nice but, do not do anything idiotic because you will get band. This theater is really the only one Ive ever been too and it gets better every I go. Ive never had a bad experience with this theatre, Hattiesburg Grand Theater 18. Get there 30mins-45mins early if you want a good seat for first time showings for NEW movies.

Just absolutely love the Grand! I have never been disappointed with them. I went just last night with my friend and we both had a great time and have made memories we will never forget! I totally recommend this theater if you looking for a place to feel at home yet like you are having a good time away from home! Basically you want somewhere to go this weekend go to the Grand! FIVE STARS!!

My whole family and several friends go to The Grand all the time. We love going to the movies and have never had any problems. Prices are fair, food prices and free popcorn and drink refill is great, and the people are always friendly. The sound and picture quality is great and they will give hearing impaired people headphones. Its all around a great place to go.

I use to love going to the movie theater at least once a week. However, I cant sit and enjoy a movie now due to all the talking and cell phone usage during the movie. I gave attempted to complain on several occasions but staff wont monitor audience or get rid of these people when they do find them. I now go to the one at the mall. No issues there... yet!

The new reclining armchairs are nice but, in my opinion, theyre unecessary, and they take up a lot of room so there are fewer seats in each theater. Which means showings sell out faster and it can be difficult to get tickets. If you are short dont sit in the back row; you wont be able to see over the railing. Good selection of snacks and drinks.

All I can say is watch the bartender make your drink, I paid $10 plus $3 tip for a long island iced tea & there was no alcohol in it, when I approached them about the issue they didnt offer to make it right in any way, I wasnt telling a lie about it, I have no reason to. Js.
