New Glarus

I would give zero stars to the Lindo theater if I could. My boys wanted to see the movie Purge: Election Year. They are 16 years old. My wife and I went with them, and bought tickets for them to see the movie. We bought tickets for my wife and I to see Independence Day. Soon after we sat down for Independence Day., and my boys were in the next theater to watch Purge, a Lindo theatre manager insisted that my boys could not watch Purge by themselves--we had to watch this pathetically stupid movie with them. The manager said it was their theater policy that 16 year olds cannot see an R rated movie by themselves. They forced my wife and I to sit with them to watch the idiotic Purge movie. We have been loyal Lindo theater patrons for over ten years. I do not need some theater manager trying to help raise and parent my boys. If I permit them to see an "R" rated movie, that is my choice--I do not need a theater manager or owner of a theater trying to parent my children. My wife and I purposely did not want to see the Purge movie, as the first two were incredibly stupid and we knew the third installment would be too, and we were right. What difference does it make whether we are in the same theater with them, or we are 100 feet away? The Lindo theater lost long time patrons tonight. We will NEVER give them any of our money again. We already have the federal and state government trying to run every aspect of our lives. I do not need a theater manager and owner dictating how we raise our children. Adios, Lindo theater. You screwed up big tonight. I will let everyone I know hear about their "nanny state" policy. Lindo Theater, YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!!

Unfortunate experience today. Saw Gaurdians 2. The surround sound was off, only volume was coming from the front. I informed the staff about 30 minutes in and They never did anything. We could hear all the bass from the next theatre over ours. At the end of the movie on the way out I heard a woman ask over the radio if the side speakers were working and the employee answered that they didnt notice. YOU COULDNT HAVE CHECKED DURRING THE MOVIE WHEN I INFORMED YOU OF THE ISSUE? Ruined the cinematic experience having to hear audio from another movie over ours.

This theater is a gem! The staff are friendly and helpful. The mints distributed after the movies are a nice touch. The prices are CHEAP compared to Rockford, Chicago and the suburbs. Especially when you factor in the free refills! I find it fascinating that New Glarus (see review below) didnt want to watch the Purge movie but did want to see Independence Day. I can only say thank you for no longer attending the Lindo. People with his taste in films are a danger to society.

Love the Lindo, always The problem was this weekend Do not go see "At any Price" No story line, no character development, senseless sex scenes almost rape like, does not depict the Midwest value and culture, poor acting, no emotion, a huge waste of time, energy, and money to see this film. Almost walked out twice but kept hoping something would change, it never did, the ending was not even and ending, just pathetic. Junior High kids could do better.

Simply the best . The place is beautiful , but the people make this theater great. The staff is always helpful and respectful , and are there to serve you with free breath mints after each showing . They really work hard to make each experience an enjoyable one . The price is great in comparison to other theaters. Pime example, I have my own theater at home, imax quality, and I still go to the lindo on occasion . Thats how good it is.

I have been attending the summer Wednesday morning movies with my grandson and daughter-in-law. It has been very enjoyable and fun spending special times with my grandson. Just wanted to thank the Lindo and all their staff for making this such an enjoyable time for the children. You do a great job bringing joy to the children. Thank you again!! Also a shout out to the Freeport Police and Fire for their interaction with the children.

Overall, a good movie experience. Fairly reasonable prices on popcorn/soda (would expect to pay about $15 for two medium sodas and a medium popcorn) - free refills. Also, refills are provided with slushies- I have never experienced such a feature! Seating is comfortable and what you might expect. Movie experience is good.

The price of the movie And concessions is very reasonable compared to the big city theatres trust me I know. I am saying like 1/2 the price. Some people will still complain, mainly because they have not ever experienced big city theater cost. So with this in mind, Get a llife and enjoy your local theater !!!!

Its pretty awesome to have this landmark theatre. The people are friendly, although they could benefit from having two cashiers open at a time, usually even if theres only a few people in line it takes a while. The whole experience is worth it, and the newer rooms have very comfortable chairs.

Awesome theater. Went here to see Tarzan and the movie kept getting messed up and they had to restart it multiple times. Me and my family were the only ones at that specific movie. Ended up getting free tickets to see another movie. Very clean and great staff that handle situations perfectly!

This is my favorite movie theater between Freeport, Dixon, and Sterling. The prices are the best for ticket and food. The seats are nice. They have a lot of different showings. A lot of parking space in the back. I even feel safe going by myself.

I really like this theater. The prices are cheap compared to other ones I have visited (free refills). The seats are comfortable and clean. Staff is always friendly and give you mints after the movie.

The Lindo is a clean and modern theater with all of the basic amenities. It is clean, well-maintained and offers plenty of movie choices with convenient parking! Its a gem in Freeport.

Great old movie theater with 9 screens. Prices are also very reasonable. Also there is a great bar to stop into directly across the street for a pre or post bite to eat or a drink.

The best movie house in Freeport. Historic movie theatre has first run movies, and 1.00 movie series, and good service. Concessions are comparatively priced.

You can go to Adams market and buy 5 things of candy but at the lindo you can get 2 things for 20 dollers.
