We have been going to this theater since before the renovations and we were happy even then.....although after the renovations, it is like wow!!!! They did the renovations and have kept their word that it would not increase ticket price. The chairs are amazingly comfortable, the service is friendly and the ticket prices are great.....concession stand prices are about the same as in other theaters. I tried to give it 4.5 stars (site only ket me put in whole star ratings)because EVERY place always has room for improvement....here it would probably be in the bathrooms....the bathrooms are ALWAYS very clean but some of the doors dont quite lock correctly (like the height of door fallen or something) and compared to the pretty new surroundings, the bathrooms look a little dated....though very clean and functional .... all things taken into consideration, I am extremely happy with this theater and I hope they continue to provide quality service and movies at these prices for a long long time :) Great job guys!

Wonderful experience. Seems like they are renovating and making a ton of repairs to this theatre and I am impressed with the care they are taking. The staff is friendly, the deals (tons of free refils) are awesome, and the manager is down to earth and gives the experience of a small town old-school movie theatre. I would probably give this about 4 stars in reality, but Im trying to offset the idiot (Andrew Petrella) who is mad that they made him silence his phone and gave one star because of it. Silence your phone moron. Youre not so important that it cant wait for two hours! Idiot.

We frequent this theater and have no issues but I think it should be known that Theaters 2 & 8 are not good for handicapped/wheelchair seating. The people who accompany the person in the wheelchair are only able to view half the screen unless theyre very tall or sit up on the edge of their chair. My stepson is in a wheelchair and blind so it doesnt matter if he can see but Im guessing anyone in a wheelchair wouldnt be able to see well from there either. Need to remember to call first to find out which theater the movie is in were going to see, if its in #2 or #8 we wont go.

I really wanted to give 5 starts but my most recent experience has changed my mind. The young girl behind the counter rolled her eyes and spoke to my 80 year old grandmother with such disrespect over my grandmother wanting a water. I called the manager over and told her about the attitude of her employee and she said she would talk to her. No formal apology to my grandmother, and no other hospitality to make up for the experience. You still have some work to do with your staff. Hopefully I can update this review in the future and add my stars back but for now just 2

Worst theater in town. So many movies ruined by these people. Went to see Kong skull island, and the screen was 20% too small. I had to go out and tell them, nobody checked. Went to see magnificent 7, each gunshot hurt my ears. Im sitting in war for the planet of the apes right now, and the screen just went out. Im getting my money back and never coming here again until i see an "under new management" banner. Only good thing is the seats are comfortable--when they work.

Last night was my first time at this theater, but theyve earned a new loyal customer. Cheap tickets. Free refills on drinks and popcorn (perfectly buttered popcorn too btw). Great loud sound system. And to top it all off they have incredibly comfy reclining seats! It really doesnt get better than Cinema 12. I will be seeing all future movies at this theater.

This is my first time going to a local theatre like this one. I usually go to AMC, and being accustomed to really high prices for food, drinks, as well as tickets, I think this theatre is amazing. The prices for tickets are very affordable and the food as well. I will definitely come back here again (their staff and seats are amazing).

Its awesome! The tickets are cheap. You get free refills on popcorn and drinks!!!! Also when a new movie is released for example this year I want to watch Paranorman. Theres going to be tons of people and cars there because who wants to be the person who didnt got to watch the latest movie???? Am I right or am I right? :)

It has changed ALOT since the last time I have been there a couple years ago. They have seats that are nice and clean and comfortable and they even recline back. The lobby and the theater rooms didnt smell like mildew like they used too. So that was a plus! It brought back a lot of child hood memories.

Been going to this place since I was a kid. Its still the cheapest theater in the area (about 7 bucks normal price) and you get free refills on all popcorn purchases. Still had main run movies and theyve even upgrade their seating to the nice plush recliners. Highly recommended if youre in the area.

The C12 is a family friendly venue. Taking a family to see a movie can be a daunting expense these days but this Cinema is very reasonable from the tickets to the concessions. They make a good effort to keep it neat and clean and the staff is very polite and helpful. My favorite movie theater.

Dont try calling the place and expect to hear from a human. I havent got hold of one yet. They do exist there though and are nice people. The seats here are literally comfy recliners with electronic controls. Audio is good. Food is ok. Price is right.

Started going there in 1970 when it was two screens. Lots of manager changes but always has been good. Only twice did I ever have a problem and they gave me free tickets to see another movie. Cheap prices compared to other theaters and good service.

LOOVVEE THIS PLACE. it has upgraded so much over the years. nachos on point, jalapenos, full cup, CHECK! hell yeah. They are the best and keep getting better. and theyre cheap... please stay that way. Did i metion they have recliners?!?! YASSSS

Ive been going to this theater for a very long time. Cheapest tickets around, everywhere else gets expensive when you have kids. Plus the new renovation gave the theater a newer look with very affordable prices and staff is always friendly.

The theatre is clean and the staff friendly. This is not a new theatre but the reclining chairs are one of the best I have ever sat on. Concessions was average price but free refill on popcorn and drinks. Ticket prices were reasonable.

Great inexpensive theatre. Matinees are only 5 dollars. Recliners are very comfortable and concessions are very reasonably priced. This theatre has been serving Carpentersville for nearly 50 years and still doing a great job.

Clean and well priced. The reclining seats are amazing. Minus one star for typical apathetic teenaged popcorn chefs. Ticket people are nice, however the concession area kids seem like they are being forced to work there.

Very clean! Staff was so friendly! Recliners would be dangerous of putting a person to sleep if the movie was not captivating. Only down side was not being able to move the arm between me and my date to snuggle closer.
